Herd immunity is the idea that members of the population who are at significant risk if they catch the virus become statistically insulated once a significant fraction of the population has become immune/sterilized. It doesn't mean shit for an individual who is basically immune/insignificant risk anyways.

Everyone else could catch COVID infinitely and pass me COVID infinitely (which is a retarded premise on its own right) and it only starts to affect me when it starts removing conspecifics at a high enough number that either 1) my mate choice becomes limited (or by proxy my offspring/descendants) or 2) the population is bottlenecked enough that deleterious traits start fucking the gene pool and/or inbreeding coefficient rises enough to fuck future generations.
However, COVID doesn't do that. COVID doesn't get remotely close to the level of mortality needed to cause a population bottleneck; so that's all moot shit.

But wait, there's more! Even the vaccines don't actually prevent spread, they merely limit and/or lessen the likelihood. So COVID is still gonna fucking spread even if you make the otherwise non-risk groups take the vax - AND that's not taking into account that you've entered a race with viral evolution and its only a matter of time before some lineage adapts and exploits.

Got my first Moderna on Friday, no side effects yet but I was hit with a huge wave of exhaustion on Sunday, never felt that tired in my entire life, no idea if its related.

Wife got hers a few weeks ago and she was really sick for about 18 hours and then nothing, also her arm really swelled up around the injection site.

Not really excited for the second, not to sound like an anti vaxxer but they pushed all these vaccines out really fast and the side effects aren't really known at this point.

Those in my family who were at risk have already been vaccinated, my partner has become a woo astral queen lite-conspiracy theorist, and well, she made some good points. We are young, we are healthy, we eat well and work out, if we get the chinee flu, there is a 99.99997% chance we are fine, and we do not see the need to get an experimental, untested vaccination.

But what sealed it for me were the fundy i-love-fucking-sciencers who give us looks while we are walking in the park on a sunny day maskless (gasp! outside? in a park? with NO MASK?). I hate them. I want to cough in their fucking libshit mouths and spit in the eyes. These fucking slunts are going to bars and restaurants, making sure to wear their mask for the first 4 feet before getting in to the bar or restaurant, and then taking them off to eat and drink and smoke YOU CUNTS I HATE YOU.
