To those of you still holding out, may I suggest checking in weekly with friends and family who have gotten the vaccine? That way you can see if any of the adverse effects you're worried about show up.

There was, in years running up to this, lots of propaganda pushing this idea that if you don't take a vaccine then you're a threat to the collective. How attribute death of 30-40 year old who struggled with flu for 3-4 weeks with mild headache who dropped dead due to heart attack? Research shows that not properly treated flu can lead to heart issues. Would you classify this death for flu or heart problems?

Again, even if 10% of infected 30.000 are having respiratory issues and requires medical aid it makes 3.000 people per day landing in hospital beds. Make it even less. Let it be 2-3% and still you get additional 600-700 people in need in contrary to regular day in world without COVID-19. We are talking about people who need oxygen, ventilators or in the most grievous cases ECMO.

Still not a mutant, but the second dose of the Pfizer ended up kicking my ass harder on the second day. The side effects were pretty mild the first day until about one o'clock in the morning when I got hit with horrible chills out of nowhere. When I woke up the next morning it was like having the flu without any sinus or respiratory issues. Fatigue with a low fever and full body aches until the symptoms slowly started tapering off that evening. When I woke up this morning I was back to normal and haven't had any issues since. Most of my immediate and extended family didn't have any reaction to the second dose with my dad and I being the only exceptions. So far I had the strongest reaction and I'm the only one from that group with an autoimmune issue. I have another relative with an autoimmune disease getting their second Moderna shot soon so it will be interesting to compare notes. My personal suspicion is that short of a full on allergic reaction, prior exposure to bat aids or autoimmune conditions determine the severity of side effects with the second dose of the mrna vaccines.
