I know what I know, and what I know is what I have to go on to make decisions. I can't use information I don't know to make a decision. If they know something I don't, they should tell me so I can make a more informed decision. I'm still ultimately going to judge things as I see them. I'm still the one doing the judgement when it comes to my decisions and my actions, even if I'm less informed than others.

Car manufacturers are deliberately fucking shit up, making it impossible to access, putting things together in ways that require proprietary tools they only sell to authorized personnel, and otherwise building in planned obsolescence to everything. The sheer amount of crap on some dumb circuit board is absurd, and if it fries, your only choice is to replace that specific component.
