Are you getting the vaccine? - Absolute trashfire thread, please enter with caution

I don't know what this is but a nanny government to make sure I don't troon out cause of sofas sounds way worse than any other timeline.
It's the opposite, you're in the nanny government now. The reason endocrine disruptors exist in furniture in the first place is because people smoked, and set their houses on fire falling asleep with a cigarette in their hand. Instead of cigarette companies getting blamed they lobbied for furniture companies to add chemicals to furniture that prevent them from going up. These chemicals fuck with your hormones and most likely have contributed to lots of unnecessary disease.

For decades, Americans have been exposed to flame retardants in mattresses, upholstered furniture, foam cushions, baby car seats, insulation, and electronics. These chemicals have been linked to hormone disruption, cancer, and attention and IQ deficits in children.

So basically let everyone get fucked up because the cigarette companies want to keep making money from poisoning people, government stamp of approval.

THE SOFAS ARE TURNING THE FRICKIN ZOOMERS GAY

You got that right. See, according to Cocteau's plan, I'm the enemy. Cause I like to think, I like to read. I'm into freedom of speech and freedom of choice. I'm the kind if guy who wants to sit in a greasy spoon and think, "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecued ribs with the side order of gravy fries?" I want high cholesterol. I want to eat bacon, butter and buckets of cheese, okay? I want to smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in a non-smoking section. I wanna run through the streets naked with green Jello all over my body reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly might feel the need to. Okay, pal? I've seen the future, you know what it is? It's a 47-year-old virgin sittin' around in his beige pajamas, drinking a banana-broccoli shake singing "I'm an Oscar-Meyer Wiener". You wanna live on top, you gotta live Cocteau's way. What he wants, when he wants, how he wants. Your other choice: come down here, maybe starve to death.

As this paper say who doesn't follow the covid measure are doing the research better than who does. So follow the science you fucking idiots.:smug:

What a shitshow, I really hope that any good material is preserved for the future generations to laugh.
This guy did a summary of it.
https://twitter.com/commieleejones/status/1391754136031477760 (https://archive.md/3uyFe)

MIT researchers 'infiltrated' a Covid skeptics community a few months ago and found that skeptics place a high premium on data analysis and empiricism. "Most fundamentally, the groups we studied believe that science is a process, and not an institution."

"Indeed, anti-maskers often reveal themselves to be more sophisticated in their understanding of how scientific knowledge is socially constructed than their ideological adversaries, who espouse naïve realism about the “objective” truth of public health data."
:smug:

I prefer to let the crazies do their thing and let everyday people judge them accordingly.

But then again, this may be an old fashioned idea from when the crazies were sitting outside of post offices with card tables and on shortwave radio rather than commanding media empires and mainstream political parties.
Eh I don't think that ever been true though. Steve Jobs the guy who turned Apple into a global powerhouse thought you could cure shit like Cancer by soaking your feet in toilet water.

He died of pancreatic cancer because he thought he could cure it with an all fruit diet. Andy Kaufman died of cancer after flying to indonesia to get a chink blessing.

People are retards.
Different kind of retarded. Famous and rich people are that level of retarded, almost exclusively.
Poor people are "lighter fluid challenge" retarded. One does it because there's something wrong with them, the other does it because other people are doing it.
Edit: lol I meant to say "normal" "not wealthy" but wrote "poor".

Oooooook, I am not (yet) telling you to not get the vaccine BUT if you have thyroid problems (auto-immune or hypo/hyperthyroidism) you might want to get a check up with your doctor after getting the vaccine. Just saying.
It's like getting or not getting the vaccine should be everyone's personal choice or something

I'm one of those boring "I'm not anti-vax, but I'll wait to see" people, simply because of my relation to it and how Covid-19 has been treated as a whole in my country.
I feel that the nature of my work puts me directly in Covid's path and I should have contracted it long, long ago, so either I had it and didn't even know it, or following procedural hygiene and CDC guidelines have protected me and others I've interacted with so far. I also believe that, if I were to contract it, it wouldn't affect me as seriously as it would someone older and unhealthier than I am, so I'm fine with doing what I've been doing while we wait for more conclusive data on a vaccine of this nature, especially from what I'm hearing about legal liability.

I also have a personal bias, since every year I've gotten the flu shot, I've caught the flu, but since I've stopped getting the shot, I haven't had the flue since, but I digress...

Covid is not going to go anywhere anytime soon and will be around a lot longer than hopeful people screaming "GET THE VAX SO WE CAN GO BACK TO NORMAL" would like to admit. it should be up to the individual to determine whether or not a vaccine is right for them, but it shouldn't start becoming more and more the norm to refuse services based on that decision, especially for a disease like this.

My folks and brother all got fully vaccinated. My dad talked about spending a week experiencing aches and pains, but other than that, they're fine.

I went out to lunch with them and they all decided not to wear masks heading in. Most of the servers weren't wearing masks either. So yay for that.
