Would it be possible for you to find that link? That would be greatly appreciated.Off the top of my head, I don't have a link, but I remember it being something like 1000-fold more likely to be hospitalized or have long-term effects from covid than from the vaccine.
But hasn't the vaccination campaign started only in December (if you're referring to the US and I assume you are). It hasn't been over a year yet. And during that time, as far as I read, some side effects were discovered. Do you think it's logical to consider one year as a threshold for long-term potential health issues from injecting the vaccine? It's been over a year and there hasn't been any long term issues yet, it's fine.
Maybe but I'm dismayed at the messaging governments and associated experts issue. The messaging is confusing and often very rude. We are told to unquestioningly obey the government and for a short-time crisis, it is fine. But once things drag on, then it's inevitable that more questions will arise. I don't consider those questions sufficiently answered. I can see that propaganda campaigns are being conducted to question the efficacy of these solutions but that's the thing, if officials were more lucid, this propaganda wouldn't have any soil to grow in the target audience. When I hear about those scary reactions, then I hear that governments are considering restrictions on citizens' rights if they don't take these solutions, I get worried. But to use your own question on you... don't you worry that covid itself could have long term issues that haven't popped up that the vaccine could prevent?
But if SARS-COV-2 is of the same family as viruses (some of them) that cause the common cold (which we are unable to eradicate), is it even possible to even achieve herd immunity? This is not a facetious question. And then there's the whole societal reason for vaccination: for herd immunity and to help prevent new, potentially more deadly strains from mutating
I appreciate your civility and I hope we get to continue the conversation in a similar fashion, without assuming anything malicious about one another.
