What you're doing is randomly deconstruction an identity that has formed over centuries, many of them under the occupation of some empire. You think Vlad Tepes or Michael the Brave were not of the Romanian ethnicity just because at times their lands were ruled by foreign invaders?
Their court documents are still available to read, and any current day Romanian will understand the ones that are written in old Romanian (some are in Slavonic, some in Latin, some in German etc.) with minimal effort.
The nation itself is only a continuation of the ethnos, and that incorporates too many things to bother with for a topic about some Anglomutt degenerate, like culture, genetic heritage, religion, education and more.
