Context needed because I have repeatedly said the reason why the US has not sent Abrams is because of fiddly bits and the fact its nothing like the T72.

Because the holdomor occured and it was somewhere in between 7 and 21 million. Remember these are the bloodland and between Stalin's purges, holdomor, the Nazis, WW1, the Russian civil war and the Holocaust, it's not surprising if you reach up to fifty+ million dead in Ukraine during that time.
