Can't say I'm as surprised as a lot of other people are though, a personal cow of mine put me on the radar for a lot of lesser-known SuperMega drama, most notably Matt's crazy abusive ex(?) girlfriend. There's like a whole gossip subcommunity of exceptional ex-stans who've been waiting for SM to crash and burn, which honestly felt inevitable considering their youtuber upbringing.
The Supermega gossip subcommunity rabbit hole goes so, so deep. They're the ones that released the court documents.

why the fuck would you pay for expensive alcohol if you're an alcoholic? you're tossing it down a well anyway.

Alcoholics who drink bottom shelf booze and turn their empties in for nickels is because they have no choice since it's all they can do to upkeep their habit. Give an addict a credit card that they can use as a free booze dispenser and suddenly they have a taste for the finer things in life.

A trailer park drunk and a trust fund cocktail enthusiast are two sides of the same coin.

Matt and Ryan will probably fade into other video and audio production crews in 5 years. I remember the whole Cyndago thing and how Ryan's BF killed himself. SuperMega was there for Ryan and Matt when they were going through that time. They need to work at other production crews so their friendship can stay fresh. (IMO They were funnier when they were editing for other people)

I don't see SuperMega going far if they keep entrusting their friends to do jobs and finances.
Game grumps was way more fun when they were editors

Interestingly, he didn’t make any effort to hide the last five digits of his card number - easily matched to his employer-provided card - when posting on social media.

There’s a couple posts like this, and I don’t know if that’s due to oversight, or total disregard for how egregious his purchases were. Expense reports are routinely padded for small amounts of money every month - a dinner here, gas there - but this is just so beyond the scope of what anyone could consider reasonable.

I clearly can’t read. My bad.

Also, I didn’t realize his engagement was so recent. That’s gotta be brutal for her right now, I hope they can still get their deposits back. I’m sure SuperMega paid, anyway.

I took a quick glance at r/rantgrumps and there was a long thread where people waxed poetic about how much better the editing was when Kevin was the editor compared to now. After Barry left, Kevin for years was the butt of jokes due to his subpar style until Matt and Ryan spruced up the editing by being, well, funny, and giving a shit. Now between Game Grumps and Supermega, having Kevin as an editor would be a lifeline of creativity. :story: He dodged a bullet joining that trailer editing house, that's a sweet gig that will likely never result in him having his own kiwi thread. The absolute state of the Grumps-verse.

I do like Justin though. Justin's cool.

Those images are from the evidence provided in the court documents. He only posted the tweet. The credit card transaction and the website were added next to the tweet by the law firm to expose his fraud.

I mean, let's be real, does this look like the face of a man who would scam a lifelong friend out of $60K?

No, it looks like the face of a man who would molest children. After watching that patreon video he sounds like a molester with down syndrome.

As someone who has handled business credit accounts, this is just amateur hour level shit. Absolutely no one was paying attention to this account at all or it would have easily been noticed in the first few months, if not the first month. How often were they traveling or drinking? Or going theme parks? These are probably not considered normal charges and would stick out like a sore thumb on statements. SuperMega is not a large company with many employees, embezzlement of this kind should not be possible. Should have at least been caught at the end of the first year just combing expenses for tax time. I don't get it.

Not to mention there is almost never a good reason to not stick a hard limit on employee cards. When you issue an employee card you have an option of putting a monthly purchase limit on it. Specifically to prevent such shenanigans. You can usually change it up or down online, but why they wouldn't put a limit on it is beyond me. Did they really expect Jackson to spend 5k a month for them? On what? They really trusted this couch surfing dirt bag :story:

Never thought I'd see Super Mega with a link on the main page of the site. It's too bad they're good boys. Especially Ryan, his best friend killed himself and they got taken advantage of by Markiplier and they cant seem to catch a break.

Fuck man, what pure, concentrated autism made him openly share that he was committing a felony on a discord server? I swear to god discord users lose 30 IQ points instantly when they create an account. Also very funny that he thought he would get away with it, even when making millions 60k dropping off the books is VERY noticeable. Crazy that he was just like, eh go fuck yourselves though. Dont think he realizes this could land him in prison for three years or I think he would be in DFE mode right now.

Dudes a confirmed alcoholic with a literal paper trail showing much of one he is. He's not doing any deep thinking.
