This video took her "6 months" to fuckin put together lmfao? This shit?? It's poorly edited and just a whole lot of nothing.
 
Lex's response video is mind blowing. Zero remorse at all for what she did. Zero regret for bringing up Matt and Ryan's friend who Ryan literally found hanging dead which had zero relation to her SA. Just a completely irredeemable piece of shit narcissist. I don't like using the term "horrible person" because it's kind of gay to throw around casually but this woman is a horrible person. She legitimately does not believe she did anything wrong. She even goes on to try and claim Justin their editor who's like 19 was groomed by them. There is no reason why a woman this painfully mid should be so smug and self important.

The moment “Egoraptor” died for me was when he was in the Nintendo World Championships 2015. Every (at least I think every) other contestant went by their online handle while Arin, by far the most well-known person there, was just “Arin Hanson”.
 
My fat retarded roommate keeps playing GG's videos full volume blasting from his speakers in his room, it's reignited my hate for GG. How anyone older than 14 can watch this I do not know.

Because they've been watching for a decade + and they never had the "hm the show has really gone downhill" moment the rest of us had because they just chuck it in the background and don't pay much attention.

He's literally the poster boy for, "you'd be surprised how stupid some people can be," when I'm playing a game and someone complains about tutorials and/or popups.
 
I always hated let's plays, I found them one of the laziest forms of content, and I really don't get the appeal of watching somebody trying to be funny while playing. Scripted videos all the way.

But I did watch a bit of Game Grumps because it meant hearing more of Jon. I mean, it bored me eventually, but I did watch a bit, because Jon WAS funny. The moment I heard he left I tried to watch the videos with Dan, just for curiosity.... it was so bland, Dan wasn't even playing, his personality was pretty much a yes-man for Arin.... I really don't get the appeal of these things.

That said, I'm grateful, it showed that despite his sequelitis videos, Arin didn't understand much about videogames and outside of scripted videos... he just wasn't funny.

So yeah... I don't understand how they managed to grow a fanbase, since most Egoraptor fans have already left I figure.

I'd disagree that they went downhill. See, talking about how Arin went full retard for his Ocarina Sequelitis led me to rewatch it, which in turn led me to thinking 'Holy shit, he'd really hate Dark Souls or something like that' when he complained that Ocarina's combat requires you to wait.

So, I looked up whether or not he'd ever played it on Game Grumps and I came across him and Jon playing Demon's Souls. After not watching them for many, many years, I watched it and thought to myself 'Holy shit, this was never good. Even with Jon'. Watching them play Demon's Souls was so painful and so annoying that I honestly started to wonder how it was that I managed to stomach them night after night whenever it was (ten years ago?)

Their audience have got to be on average about ten years old. Mentally that's how old Arin is and that's the only demographic I see being able to stand watching them for more than a couple of seconds.

I'm grateful for Game Grumps too. For me it was a turning point in my fandom for Arin. Before Game Grumps, I eagerly awaited any video he put out, would rewatch many of his videos, found him hilarious and hung on his every word. After Game Grumps and that whole sequence of events (Game Grumps, lacklustre videos like PokeAwesome2, Ocarina Sequelitis, him trying to be a fucking rapper, him going full SJW) I got to a point where I am genuinely embarrassed to have ever liked or been a fan of him.

Listening to people in their early twenties is fucking annoying when you're no longer in your early twenties. It doesn't matter if they're the wittiest people in the world, they're still in their early twenties. Of course it wouldn't hold up, you've grown. Also spending hours listening to anything is way more of an investment/waste of time when you're older, so it's natural to be more critical of and have higher standards for what you're spending that time on. That doesn't mean that Dan era wasn't a marked step down. Jon actually got excited about and played games, and even though he was a dickrider, he wasn't afraid to disagree and argue, which was leagues more interesting than Dan's yes anding, improv and canned stories.

Jon never would have lasted doing let's plays. He doesn't like making quick garbage like Arin, he would rather take his time. A stoner works pretty well, Dan can at least be counted on to sit there and laugh at everything.
