Oh my fucking god, I stop reading the thread for just a couple of days and arin gets dunked on by some of the new grounds best bois and somehow makes quinton "I bought a sex doll for a gag" reviews look like a reasonable person. Fuck me that was a good read.

This is just so weird to me. Like back in the Newgrounds days these dudes were buds, hell all of the prominent people that have been assblasting Arin were even featured on Grump related content. One of my personal favorite spazkid moments was the goddamn cologne incident on table flip.

Not to say I'm not enjoying this. Laughing at those that have subjugated themselves to the will of social justice is fucking great. Unscripted autism is the ultimate form of comedy. It's just so curious to me how times have changed.

Sorry if I'm just fucking saying shit without real contribution but this recent debacle has me ponderous as shit. Don't drink the koolaid kids, you dont want to be another Arin Hanson.

Jesus, a few days away from the Farms and Arin got his ass handed to him for the stupidest reason possible just to shield himself from any form of criticism towards him. I really hope he manages to fuck up even worse in the future so its credibility as a business man dies out for good. Seeing the old NG guard shitting on him in the most civil way possible is glorious.

And the funny thing is, on the side Jontron releases a Game Jam video with Oney, other NG boys and people with actual experience making a game in 3 days. Even in raw form, both games shown managed to be decent proofs of concept, and the production value was good considering what it was, whether one likes it or not. Meanwhile Arin's shitty fag VN gets brownie points for being "inclusive" (despite the writing and narrative being terrible), gets buried down by literally every release from 2017, and he still tries to cash in on that shit despite making a Barnes & Noble event where only one fucker showed up. LA's one hell of a drug it seems.

I actually know a little about this, Arin actually approved of the comic but then changed his mind afterwards afraid that it would damage the GG brand or some shit and told them to change the names of the characters. IMG_20190803_201248.png

Now, to be fair to Arin, even if he really doesn't deserve it; Sonic was ALREADY being put through the ringer of "it was never good", ever since Sonic 2006 released and everyone retroactively said "eh Heroes was bad actually never mind", with it snowballing until it reached the old school Sonic games. It took until Sonic Mania for people to finally calm down. But, Arin's attitude about Sonic, while not being the cause of the "never good" stuff, absolutely amplified it and made it worse. Which is funny, considering the 06 playthrough with JonTron never had him go so hard. Maybe that was because he was more genuine then. Probably. Most likely.
 
Arin didn't personally craft the game himself, he was just giving money to the people who made it under his brand.

Probably because if you ever try to do anything that's problematic, that's a problem but when Arin does it. You gotta laugh. Jesus, I cannot wait for the divorce or the call out post.
