Controversial opinion; while I like DD&J, they aren’t perfect. They often seem like overly negative “woe is me” types, as well as degenerate furries. I honestly don’t believe the situation is as simple as “DD voiced a simple respectful complaint that he had heard from several of the employees, but then everyone turned on him and tried to ruin their lives.”

I totally side with them in general, and I trust them way more than Arin. but buying into the “DD&J are good boys, couldn’t have done anything wrong” mentality is pretty much the same thing Lovelies do with the Grumps.

From what Ding Dong has posted recently, it seems like when he made his first comments on his stream, he had a White Knight mentality. Like he figured that no one working on the project felt they could speak up without losing their jobs or something, so Ding Dong decided to do it himself. That turned out to be an overreaction on his part and pretty much led to all the bullshit happening. It wasn't really his place to speak up about the behind the scenes mood, and he found that out the hard way.

The big difference with Ding Dong is his willingness to apologise. I think that helps endear him to a lot of people who are sick of GG's constant radio silence.

Jesus Christ, the guy just can’t catch a lucky break.
I‘m sorry for him, those are awful news. I keep my fingers crossed that it’s benign cancer.

Real talk for a second: there are very few people (especially on the Internet) who will ever truly earn my respect or admiration, or be people who I'd consider being "loyal" to in any capacity - I can count them on less than one hand. I don't believe in fandom nor fan worship, nor trust in a person whom you'll likely never meet IRL; nobody's perfect and treating someone as such only serves to garner toxicity and an inflated ego to you and whoever you interact with. Call it being jaded, call it cynicism: that mentality all comes from experience and longevity on the Internet and very little has made convinced me otherwise.

Ross, however, is one of those few. Be it the harassment over a joke (Goddammit Ross), the Jon breakup, how the fans affected him behind the scenes, his wife divorcing him (amicably or no), crazed stalkers, his best friends dying, and now his mom getting cancer - not only did he take that all in stride, but he's never made his problems the viewer's problems, even when no one would fault him for doing so. The man, even after the entire shitstorm caused by Holly, Heidi, and Jared, instead of getting understandably upset actually decided to used his clout to benefit and promote a small unrelated YouTuber, just because he liked their stuff, and that's without getting into how honest and upfront he's been when talking 1 on 1 with fans about...well, anything.

Lesser people would've cracked under pressure. Hell, I'd have cracked if that happened to me. The dude's mom has cancer, and instead of trying to use this to his advantage to gain sympathy, he's completely removing himself from any work, losing out on potential profits from donations/views, and halting his passion project that people have been waiting for, just so he could be with his mother. All while handling the situation with grace and tact.

Like him or not, the dude's endurance, optimism, and sheer willpower is something that should be acknowledged more often, especially amidst the absolute clown show that is Game Grumps; I really hope he catches a break, he honestly doesn't deserve any of what's been happening to him recently. He ain't perfect, but goddamn is his presence online refreshing.

I couldn't agree more. Out of everyone ever associated with Game Grumps, Ross seems the most genuine, and he's loyal to Arin to his own detriment. It's sort of the reason that despite everyone swinging back to Projared's side in that whole debacle, I still hate that faggot for breaking up Ross's marriage, either intentionally or indirectly.

One of those "I Wanna be the Guy" style games. Arin voices of the main character that throws out a quip evey time you die.

The Giant Bomb crew talk about how the game is meh, but the voice actor is annoying, unfunny and "a guy that auditioned for Mad TV and couldn't get on".

Yes, I like Ross a lot and feel he really got screwed over by Game Grumps.

Game Grumps Studios, as the game division is now referred to as (not to be confused with Game Grumps, Inc., the company, which should not be confused with Game Grumps the show, which is now independent from the rest of Game Grumps Studios, and I've already done this bit before and y'all probably already get the point) have announced their second game at PAX West today. It also looks to be another visual novel! Yaaaaaaaaaay.

Starbos Cawffee is also the final name of the game, with no plans to change it.

(Get it? Cawffee. C-Cuz they're birds. ...It's cuz they're birds. They're birds who like coffee. Cawffee. Do you get it now? Did you get it? Why aren't you laughing, I'm not hearing any laughter.)

...Don't know what the Starbos part is about though; that's throwing me for a loop, and makes me think they just haphazardly tried to change it from Starbucks for legal reasons.

Not much is known other than that and that it'll feature you...doing something with birds. It's still being workshopped so why they decided to announce it already is beyond me but it seems that it's gonna be about dating birds in a coffee shop, with more info to come soon. This is also the first game out of a total of three that have been worked on for the past year.

And yes: Arin and Dan will be making cameo appearances, same as the last game.

I was hoping Arin would keep his money grubbing, drool dripping, Suzy eating, mouth of this fucking game. His voice is just so annoying! Especially his "fake reaction" voice.

"FUCK IT!!! FUCK IT!! FUUUUUUUUCK THIS GAAAAAME!!! *scream of an autistic child throwing a tantrum in Wal-Mart*"

Okay, so that all sounds really stupid in general, no surprise, but allow me to nitpick: If they're going for bird puns, why not name it Starling's Cawffee? They could probably get away with that better than Starbos.

So Hatoful Boyfriend? But with a Game Grumps twist?

I give them the benefit of the doubt that this is an easy joke to make. But if it ends up being true...

from what ive been told, hatoful boyfriend had decent talking points through out, whereas all the dream daddy team could muster was their tagline.

Oh no, that's not me criticising Hatoful, more just pointing out that a pretty famous bird romance VN already exists, i.e. the joke has already been told. If this new GG VN does turn out to be some kind of bird romance joke story, the first word on a lot of people's minds will be Hatoful Boyfriend. Therefore, I'm hoping that I'm wrong, because the correlation is just to easy to make.

Why do I have a feeling this game will have so many bird puns it'll make one wanna kill themselves via a Woodpecker.

Probably because so many people were asking why Arin was keeping a game development crew on the payroll when no games have been launched/been hinted at being in development since Dream Daddy (two years ago).

but it seems that it's gonna be about dating birds in a coffee shop, with more info to come soon

A bird dating sim?

The fact that it may be this makes me think of Holly, which makes me think of the crap she put Ross through over the last year and now I'm sad.

better solution: just say youre keeping them on payroll because theyre working on another game. announcing shit early just guarantees people will forget before it comes out (but im sure the lovelies will keep talking about it and hyping it up because arin needs constant validation and asspats)

Hm, now I wonder if Arin would be desperate enough to suddenly give EGS blowjobs if they promised to put his dating game on their store and add two suitcases of money.

The fact that this game seems like something Holly made up with a name that seems like a knock-off of Chris’s Bowlbo just makes it feel like GG is stealing from people who used to be their friends.
