I still think Projared is a pretty shitty guy that abused his power, but I don't think he deserved to have his life ruined over it. His response video was incredibly calculated and only addressed the pedophile accusations. None of the other questionable things he did. He's no pedophile, but he's still a fucking idiot

That's what frustrates me the most about the post-ProJared attitude. Very few people seem to have taken the perspective that all parties involved in drama always look bad, its just who looks the least bad. ProJared is a thirty year old man, Dan's nearly fourty. In no way are they pure, innocent angels in this. Neither are the accusers for that matter.

I'm thinking that Kati probably thought that her play was the safest way to vent and tell her story as far from the Grumps' fanbase as possible. Any direct accusation would result in the Grumps' mostly teenage and younger fans that worship the ground on which Arin and Dan especially walk attacking and harassing her into silence. I'm fairly certain that was starting to happen even with just the play (or she was fearful of it), seeing as she deleted it off YouTube and went dark/deleted all other social media. I feel for her hard in all of this, regardless of what actually happened, she's not in a position to really talk about it without drawing crazies to her.
 
These fans are fucking suckers and I feel sad for them. They saw Arin's fatass head appear on the livestream asking for "suggestions" thinking anything they were going to say he didn't already have in mind.

The new format is in place because it makes no sense for them, revenue-wise, to keep on with the 10-15 minute episodes anymore. It's a waste of time since the view drop off never fails to happen as series go on. So by making the episodes twice or even three times as long, they jump that hurdle of inevitable view fall off with less episodes and are paid for more time per viewer.

All under the guise of "fan feedback". Actual maroons.
 
The weird thing about the Dan stuff is it seemed obvious and only now people are upset about it because someone made a play about it? How does that work? I always thought Game Grumps was about an “edgy newgrounds boy turned soy” and his sexual harasser “I do covers and sometimes my own cringe songs!” friend. So I’m very confused as to why people are upset and denying the obvious now?

To be honest, it being just Arin would probably turn me off from any game.
 
I always got the impression that Dan and Arin wanted little to nothing to do with their fans which make the allegations surprising to me. But to be fair I haven't watched the content in years.

I think the big thing there is people thought there was a very clear divide between Dan Avidan the man and Danny Sexbang the character. Clearly the divide is thin and porous if it exists at all.

Not just that but how specific these accusations are. I don't know anyone who could come up with this shit. I mean seriously read over this shit and tell me what kid is going to pull this out of their ass:

That's seriously fucked up and oddly specific. A hell of a lot more credible than "waaah Danny a jerk on set" or similar sorts of accusations, in fact I have a sinking suspicion that this is the girl that's being talked about in Kati's play-- where her girlfriend, Danny, and one more girl have a threesome in which something so horrible happens that she feels the need to self-harm. She's having trouble with her parents and he pressures her into a parent-child sex roleplay, that sounds seriously traumatic. If I were in her position I can't say I wouldn't want to hurt myself. Jesus.

I enjoyed it whenever Cory would tell Chris that he was amazed he was able to figure out puzzles so quickly.
Chris would respond with, "it's almost like I prepared ahead for the let's play", or "of course, I'm not a blithering fucking tard." It's a shame that Dave is pure autism and thinks phlegmy screeching and calling things gay is peak comedy. To each his own, I guess.

I can't help but be reminded of the Super Mario Sunshine episode (this was years ago, I don't remember the number) where Dan told the story about how he was invited into an orgy. I swear he's brought up trying to do a three-way with 2 of his lesbian friends at least once or twice as well. The line between Avidan and Sexbang grows thinner everyday. I know I shouldn't trust a victim's words without any sort of proof, but I really think deep in my heart that most of this stuff about him is true. Guess we'll just have to wait to see how things fold out.

I'm inclined to not disbelieve the post that quote comes from and the others associated with it. The two big options I can think of for them being untrue:
  • It's written specifically to smear Dan: I feel like if this were the case, there'd be a more overt act mentioned, like sexual assault or rape. Everything written is very real abuser behavior: gaslighting, zeroing in on insecurities, etc. But none of it is the quick headline "Dan raped/assaulted someone" that I feel like would exist with someone who just had an axe to grind with Dan.
  • It's a creative writing exercise/made to stir shit: I just don't think the posts are well-written enough for it. There's too many overlapping points between the posts, Kati's play, etc. I feel like the connections would be either more overt or have contradictions if it were shit-stirring.

I still don't think anything's going to come of this; there are no receipts, and while I don't disbelieve the posts, I see no reason to believe them. The whole ProJared shitshow shows how multilayered this can all be. I think it's likely Dan's a raging shitheel, but until there's any evidence out there (or so many separate accounts it's impossible to ignore), it can't be confirmed.

I'm inclined to believe that the guy who goes on stage and sings about his massive erection to a fanbase of teenage girls isn't somebody I want my daughter to be around. Dan has had whiteknights ever since he came on the show that think he's a beautiful cinnamon roll incapable of ever doing anything wrong, so even if something did come out of this, it wouldn't even matter.

In all seriousness he is the weakest link, but 3 people are needed and I think he fills the void pretty well.
