Do you guys reckon that if, for whatever reason, Dan leaves GG for a while Arin would do it with Suzy/Ben or would he animate again? I think he'd keep GG going until everyone stops watching due to Arin's stubborn yet lazy nature. As said before, he has barely animated anything recently (and even that he had help with). He just seems stuck in his ways.

He would probably continue to do LP's as a solo person, riding on the coattails of it being THE Arin Hanson of Game Grumps. Would probably also stream more often but would also cut back on his marketing (GG merch, website) to save money. After a couple months he would either find a new partner to host GG with or sunset it to focus on his "voice acting" or continue real good touring with Brent.

The last piece of animation Arin said he has worked on was the Game Gyaru advertisement which he posted on twitter. That was shared in this thread and I believe Arin only touched up on it, and didn't do the heavy lifting for the original artist. (Mainly just stating this for reference if new people are reading the post now).

charlivalid I don't know what you were expecting coming into a thread on a cow (which according to everyone else here you frequent the farms) and asking a question of "Why don't you like him?". I would assume looking at a thread that has over 280 pages would give you all the answers let alone reading the OP you'd get an idea.

As far as I've followed this thread (Since Nov of last year) I've seen you post many of the good stories and personal clips from Arin's stuff and summarize them up for those not able to watch or to get a tl;dr. I'm totally in favor of that if it's able to happen since I feel like at this point the post needs more added on as it sort of just ends after the Skyward Sword stuff being the most recent.

You should probably contact a moderator. Something similar has happened in the PurpleKecleon thread where the original OP poster wasn't around anymore so other people wrote a new OP and a moderator inserted it.

So, weird update to that: 2oda's still active, just not on here. And instead of DMing me here, he decided to DM me on a burner account outside of the Farms, asking "if I was Omnipotent on KF", and that was it. He never said anything after that. I've tried getting back to him over the past day to see what he wanted and he's not answering. I'll wait until 7:50pm my time so as to give him a full day to respond, but if he doesn't say anything (or respond in the thread) by then, I'll try and contact one of the moderators and see what I can do.

At the very least, he's aware of the discussion happening right now it seems.

Which also but itself is weird, I don't know why they're censoring the virus's name anymore: YouTube lifted that rule about two weeks into the lockdowns.

Aside from that, we've got more merch shilling during the virus and finally embracing becoming Liquid Game Grumps.

Remember when this was supposed to be a joke making fun at how Game Grumps would become so stale and old, and would continue so far into the future they'd start injecting videos into your bloodstream? Yeah, me neither.

And on top of that, it seems like Arin's permanently took over the thumbnails for Super Mario Galaxy (that or he finally burned what needed to be done into Ben's head), only this time, they decided to make the thumbnail's orange dot background red for whatever reason.

Not shocked there, it's a love hate thing since he has gotten groups like Mega64 involved, but the venues they used seemed like ones I've never heard of. Meanwhile the GG live tour picked out ones that I think made more sense (I went to one back in 2016 that was on the east coast and can confirm they picked a decent one).

I always remember that one clip of Ross' stream where talked about that line too (I forgot where it was but I believe Ross was doing Doodle Doods during the time). He said it in like a "Psh" voice and it was great.

Also sold out, and I'm assuming it's because it was a smaller run considering Arin looking into layoff staff.

Don't worry, at least they can fall back on all those Soviet Jump game purchase deals on Steam. Especially with the game still being in early access they'll have a cavalcade of money coming in....oh Arin advertised that the game was free and that was a big selling point he flaunted on streams? Compare these two episodes.

The first is the Jontron Era, Nickelodeon Guts. Arin gets super salty because Jon figures out how to play pretty quickly, and doesn't tell Arin how. Jon's reasoning is 'hey I figured out how to do this trick just this session, it's not like I'm a pro facing a newbie.' Regardless, he doesn't tell Arin how to play - and I tend to side with Arin over this one.

Then here's another episode from a completely unrelated show. They're playing a gundam fighter, and Dan immediately falls in love with Big Zam and uses him throughout the game. In the later matches, Arin exploits Dan's lack of knowledge by choosing the same character and spamming specials Dan doesn't know how to use, or getting behind him when he doesn't know how to turn.

Rantgrumps is baby's first experience with critical peers. It's basically the gateway to KF in theme. Throwback to Pewdiepie's video on forced positivity, and then having a sober realization that other people are actually critical of creators as well. That's when the worst offenders go into a spiral and only see negativity in everything, which leads them to sperg out on here and get banned, or learn to be moderate and enjoy some things and unsub to others.

This isn't even dad humor. It's a literal sounding joke to an audience of early-teens. Is it meant to be a collectors item? Water bottle for school? If they made an actual good water bottle with a sleeve of random design covering the entire bottle, it'd be visually pleasing even to normal people and not turn heads. YouTuber merch is starting to become actual fashionable clothing for everyone except GG, which is a testament to their ego-stroking addiction.

GG recently did a video with Ben Schwartz and Thomas Middleditch where they played Quiplash together. I had it going on as background noise, but as a whole it was just alright. t's what I honestly call the Guest Grumps effect where they try not to be fucking retards when someone else is there to not sully their rep. That or they constantly pick on Arin as a pansy so they can make comedy about him so the guest looks better. I think that with the "game" not really being intensive they can focus on them trying to be funny which can either do okay (like Dan) or at worst be Arin.

I will say the one thing I'm thankful for during it is they skipped over some of the waiting through editing. I've been going through too many of the TIHYDP's where the editor has to fast forward to skip the BS that Ben doing it is insane. Thank god a fucking standard was set up so we don't have to see every single thing of them snorting all the time.

Man I don't even know what they're even doing anymore. They go for seasonal merch, normal merch, game gyaru, arpeegees, like there's too much different variety and it doesn't mesh well. I think they really backed themselves in using the Gamegrumps logo (since it's inception) since you can't really push anything on merch past the logo and grump heads. Like unless you went searching you will never see a current gg merch on a person unless they're linking to Arin on twitter. Meanwhile during the Jon era I could actually see people wearing a Not so Grump Jon head shirt in the wild and not be too shocked.

"Bubububbu-Burgey though!" Gonna be fucking honest. Burgey is one of the stupidest fucking things they've ever done and the fact they pushed it that hard is that "LOLRANDOM" humor that grows stale fast. To see merch of that pushed is a sure fire sign ya'll made bad decisions.

They don't have that oomph anymore and it's just throwing too much at the wall to see what sticks.

Even if the circumstances were the same Arin would be a huge hyprocite, but it's made worse since he knew about the game beforehand. Since Jon had the ability (or luck) to figure something out quickly it doesn't mean he has to share what he just learned since it wasn't prior knowledge and he didn't start out knowing more than Arin.
