I actually wasn't aware that Arin had apologized for using slurs last year. Strange that no one's ever brought that up to defend him about the N-word compilation.

Regardless of Suzy's exact apology I'd doubt her sincerity just because of the kind of person she is. She's not just an asshole, she's someone who always seems confused on why she should have to feel bad about anything she does.

Also, someone here posted something that I think slipped through the cracks.

Look at the third tweet. Is Arin admitting that he's willing to donate to businesses that have been wrecked only if they were owned by black people?

It's been forever since I had seen that apology - so, I admit I could be wrong; but hadn't Arin blamed his past behavior on Newgrounds? (i.e. - not taking personal accountability; but shifting the blame on someone else for influencing him to act that way?)

While browsing Instagram, this post came up, basically saying that you shouldn’t force people to post about BLM/the protests or make them be vocal about it on social media so they can appear as politically correct:

The people going “ONEY/JON BAD ARIN GOOD” need to take a good look at themselves and realize that by forcing them to say something and release a cookie cutter statement, it will end up sounding soulless and corporate. Maybe Chris/Jon/whoever care about what’s happening, but would rather discuss or take action privately rather then make themselves look good so their fans can jerk them off. And seeing Arin and his Miss Martian wife’s actions, they definitely are doing this to appease to their fans and not because they actually care about what’s happening.

So...Is this how it truly ends? In Arin's desperation to not appear racist he lights his channel/cashcow and credibility on fire?

Well Mr. Hanson. Do you know what I have to say?

LIGHT.
THEM.
UP.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Jon wins.

I said he apologized before Suzy.

Never said that apology was a good one. :story:

I don't know who you are Steven Bartlett, but you've got my respect and my appreciation.

Isn't it amazing the points you can make when you aren't limited to 280 characters?

Even when he was on Newgrounds, he was a total prick. You can check his account, some of his reviews are downright attrociously mean. Even the early ones where it's "evil influence hadnt gotten to him yet"

Proof is here (a .5/5 Star review for "TOME Episode 1" on Newgrounds):
"Let me reason with you.

I'm really disappointed in your ability to not listen to anything at all.

You have two people who have successfully made a career out of animation, joke telling, and design, and these are the two people you're adamantly choosing not to listen to.

I just think you genuinely don't understand anything about direction, story telling, character development, or visual design, but you're convinced that you do.

Your colors suck. Since the first time I ever talked to you I told you your colors suck and they still do. It's not a choice, it's not a "style," they're ugly. There's no harmony. I can't even describe where to start because it's all so wrong. Please paint or... something. Just get a handle on some color theory somehow, read some books, watch Thundercats.

Your characters are 2 dimensional and I find no joy in watching them. Okay, I get it, that was your choice. Great, but it's still boring. I could choose to put dogshit in a soup because it was my intention but it's still going to be disgusting soup. I find your characters' snarky archetypal "personalities" an embarrassing chore to sit through and I think a little humanizing and something any audience can relate to would add to them greatly. Also motivation helps. And backstory. Who are these people? What do they want? What do they like? Why should I like them?

The story... my god, what is even happening? Typically you set up some kind of clear conflict or motivation for the characters right away but, I don't know, nobody seemed to be attempting to accomplish something and none of the characters aahsdhgjhsgljh THIS MOVIE IS A MESS.

But look, I get everything you're trying to do, honestly I do, but you're failing at all of it. Clearly you wanted to write an engaging story and you failed. Clearly you wanted to make likeable characters and you failed. Clearly you wanted to have an appealing "style" that RPG fans can appreciate and you failed.

Your biggest problem is you can't even grasp the concept that you may be really bad at all the things you're trying to do "on purpose" and you're writing any criticism off as people just not getting it: it's not "our thing." Take a step back and realize that there are some people who deserve to be listened to because they know what the fuck they're talking about. They're not being mean, they're just being honest." -Egoraptor, November 17th 2011

Sincerely, there are no words.

But he played the victim by blaming Newgrounds for his toxic behavior apologized; so all that doesn't matter anymore.

He's a changed man! A good ol' boi! Just ask his Lovelies.

That type of comment you'd expect from a stranger or someone a-logging.
Didn't ego know kirb on a friendly basis at this point? Why would he comment something like this in public? I mean it has some legitimate criticism sure but it comes off as meanspirited. More than that, it comes off as Ego trying to prove himself superior to his "friend" (especially since he gave it 5 stars (I'm a blind r ətard and didn't notice the 0.5, that emphasises my point even MORE)). Like sure you can publically voice criticism to your friends but harsh criticism like that is better given on a one to one private basis, as that way you each can talk out your opinions and help your friend without cutting him down in public.

No please, don't ever claim Arin has stopped being incompetent.

Not a 5/5, a .5/5

He gave it .5 stars: half a star. I'd recommend wading through the review section of his Newgrounds profile, it's a very good repository of information regarding his hypocrisy. Thusfar, I don't think he actually knows this, and therefore it's all completely in it's original state and none of it has been deleted as far as I know, so everything is essentially unfiltered.
It's a great source of information about Egoraptor's massive Ego.

Arin is damage controlling the 'problematic' episodes but hasn't got to the Sonic 06 episodes yet. Better save them before we lose 'LOOK AT THESE BLACKS' and 'I WANNA BUST A HOLE IN A WAAAAAMP' forever.

Well, because I'm a cunt

'eh.

It's not funny, and as a result, it's not entertaining.

Of course, the art is wonderful. Shading in a flash movie with traditional animation? Amazing. I can't imagine how much time you spent on those sequences.

However whatever goal you were trying to achieve, whether it was to be this "tongue-in-cheek" humor you keep mentioning, a parody of 80's/90's cartoons, or whatever, you didn't achieve it. One of the concepts of parodying something is to poke fun at it by pointing out its flaws and goofiness and then making it apparent how flawed and goofy it is. This cartoon doesn't do that. The whole "bad acting on purpose" thing doesn't work, because instead of the viewer saying "oh I see, they're making the voice acting bad on purpose haha," he or she instead says "... the acting is bad." There's no indication in the movie that the acting is poor on purpose, and even when you know that, the way its done does nothing for that theme. The acting is just bad. It's not funny bad, it's just bad bad. There's a point where you still need to establish personalities for the characters, and dialogue alone won't cut it.

The premise of this series has insane amounts of potential. When I saw the zero episode I remember thinking "well, it's kind of boring but I can't wait for the real first episode." I could imagine how many jokes and situations could arise from digging up old has-been video game mascots and seeing how their situations apply their relevance to video gaming. Instead I was met with boring, clichéd situations. Bubsy working at a minimum wage job and is the target of assassination attempts? Why Bubsy? Why not any other washed up mascot in existance? His situation has no relevance to his character except for that solitary catfood joke. I can hope that episode 2 will individualize Bubsy's situation from anyone else's by the unveiling of the assassins and their reasoning, but from how it's going I can't imagine it'd be anything that has to do with his character at all.

You could have so much material for Bubsy. He was obviously a huge ripoff of the Sonic games, but the SNES didn't have any of the speed to match Sonic. Plus the game engine was horribly made. Not to mention all the Bubsy related injokes from the game itself.

This series just seems like the epitome of wasted potential. You've got this hard work ethic, incredible flash skills, a really funny premise, but the execution of it all is really lame. Please work on it, find some co-writers or something because I really want to like this series. It's just, at this current rate, I can tell I'm just gunna hate it.

This really shows...

... how much you really don't know about color theory or composition.

The whole thing is muddy and cluttered. I can't tell where I'm supposed to be looking at any given time. I imagine you figured it'd be an easy way out to use neon colors over a black background but when you do something that stylistic you really need to know what you're doing in order for it to look anywhere near appealing.

Also you really shouldn't have to explain your forced symbolism, the video should speak for itself. People aren't going to think you're clever or original because of your efforts, just pretentious. True symbolism applied correctly should work automatically.

You should do some studying!

This is really terrible. I dunno how you got so much talent behind it.

Huargh.

I was a little disappointed by the lack of... knowledge of Mega Man in a movie that was made by someone who supposedly loves Mega Man so much. Mega Man looked like a cross between X and the regular Mega Man and it came out looking like one of those Hong Kong dollar store toy designs or something that oldskateboard company.... Hook Ups or something... made in order to market off of Mega Man's success. If that was intended, then... awesome I guess. But if the aim was to appeal to the Mega Man fanbase then I don't think you did a good job by making Mega Man... not look like Mega Man.

I suppose by the constant references to people who helped make the movie that this was done for shits and giggles, but I didn't giggle once through the movie. The jokes were a little stale and cliché and didn't have anything to do with Mega Man whatsoever, so I don't know why you opted to use them as characters since situationally these characters can't even do half the stuff you made them do. And it wasn't in a "oh that's ironically hilarious" way, it was just in a "oh, fart jokes" way. It wasn't like, say, Spark Man trying to open a door; he doesn't really open doors in the game, it's just funny because it RELATES to his character. Mega Man doesn't eat tacos or shit or anything close to that, so it didn't do anything for me really since it didn't apply to the characters at all.

The farting went on way too long especially since they were the same three fart clips over and over. Maybe if they were varied, kind of building up to a hilarious sounding fart, it would've been worth sitting through all of it, but essentially the novelty that he was farting the Nutcracker wore off really quickly, sorta like how that same joke wore off quickly in Family Guy.

Again, I don't see why you didn't just create your own world and your own characters because it probably would've been funnier and you probably would've felt less limited in the writing because you're developing the characters on your own. But to each his own, I guess?

Guess what made that MP3.

LOL Nice interpretation of my DBZ in a Nutshell. Unfortunatly you didn't tell the people who it was by (Ego 'n Company... hence my name Egoraptor), or you may have gotten it under the name "Invader Zim." Yes, I made that MP3, along with many other nutshells (Digimon, Pokemon, Power Rangers, etc.) and a few random things stray from anime parodys.

Don't get me wrong, though. I think this movie is pretty damned funny. I'm so glad people enjoyed it. Perhaps I will make a sequel! :D

If you viewers want more of these type of thing, go on an MP3 seeker program and type in "Ego 'n Company" as the artist.

On it. Will update this post once the archiver finishes.
EDIT:

Since Newgrounds doesn't seem to offer direct URLs to any one review, had to archive it by page.

THE PURGE OF JON FROM THE CHANNEL IS HAPPENING AS WE SPEAK

THIS IS NOT A DRILL

The stuff listed here has been completely wiped from the channel! ARIN YOU FUCKING MORON WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?
The Pokemon emerald and Banjo Kazooie videos are still up. Has he not gotten to those yet or...?
It's been forever since I had seen that apology - so, I admit I could be wrong; but hadn't Arin blamed his past behavior on Newgrounds? (i.e. - not taking personal accountability; but shifting the blame on someone else for influencing him to act that way?)
That's a terrible excuse. During Arin's newgrounds days, I assume he was raised to understand if he was doing something wrong and was mature enough to do something about it. It's not like Newgrounds is some cult-in-disguise or anything, I mean, Chris and many of his friends came from Newgrounds and they're alright people. He can't just pin his actions on some bad influences if he was old enough to understand what he was doing. Let alone throw the friends he made there under the bus like he did.

Dude could have made his life easier and got some easy clout by putting a disclaimer to the front of the episodes in question like how Warner Bros does for their cartoons that contain racist jokes/drawings. Would have been an easy way to keep his "clout" and allow people to experience a part of GG history with Jon that is currently being wiped off without being at real fault. To pretend by expulsion that he never said that crap is far worse then admitting he did and shows how fucking insecure he is.

I'm glad people are grilling for him for this shit. Every time he tries removing a video it's like him being pricked by a porcupine. The more you try pulling out the further the barbed quills go in. People will be archiving and watching him even more so because of crap like this.

They didnt remove all Jon's episodes, only a few very specific ones.

1591421442719.png

In case it's not clear, those were the episodes Jon and Arin said the n-word. I can confirm this because those were compiled long ago, which i am sure Aron is very aware about.

The funny thing about this is that Arin didnt remove those videos before because "he said it years ago and is totally changed now". I guess his word isnt enough and he decided to delete history and pretend those never happened for the same of image now, Jon's legacy and feelings about this be damned.

If that compilation is still up, what is the point of deleting all those videos if people already know about them? Arin is just proving that he doesn't really trust in his fans, doesn't matter how many times they said that he has changed and that they forgive him, he's still fears getting cancelled even by his most devoted followers so he is deleting any evidence of his past in the hopes that any new lovelies are stupid enough to believe that since those videos are not in the channel that's prove enough that any of that didn't happen.
