It's because Supermega has been very smart with dealing with 'le edgy' humor. They don't give a fuck about YT ad revenue, so they set up a patreon. They also apparently restrict their live shows (when going outside was legal) to 21+, so less psychotic pre-teens can get invested IRL. They're not tethered by let's plays either because they have a background in sketch comedy, so they can adapt to better shit when the "angry gamur" schtick finally runs dry. IIRC they're leaning into other projects outside of SM, which means they're not ultimately stuck with it.

Erin abandoned what made him e-famous in the first place, burned bridges, and now has to wallow in Oneyplays fuckin killing it right now, all their side projects (including videogames, cartoons, and voice acting, all of which he utterly failed on) coming to fruition and looking damn good, and living the dream he fucking wasted because he was too lazy to evolve out of aged-like-milk edgyboi weeb shit. Now he has to reckon with what's now considered wrongthink, and by refusing to put his foot down, he also has to witness Jontron rise above what is the ultimate cancellable offense--racism. Regardless of what you feel on it, that's damned impressive.

Tl;dr: Erin's a fucking idiot panderer who has to live with his ex-peers superseding him in every facet, while BTFO-ing his content, instead of dealing with creepers in his ranks. "I'm sorry the truth has upset you." This is more entertaining than Game Grumps has been in years.

Just to really hammer home how much Arin fucked up
  • Oney has his own video game coming up and has a let's play channel that could have helped bring back life into Arin's channel with their humor and drawing segment
  • Psychicpebbles may have his own show greenlit on Adult Swim (Hasn't been super confirmed, but his buddy Cusack's show did), even if it isn't his foot is already in the industry
  • Spazkid/JohnnyUtah/Tom Fulp have their game in the works
  • Jontron not only has risen above the racism, but even with people still trying to comment that he's still racist (especially with the current BLM shit) people are willing to defend him as he's shown to grow as a person and his channel is booming
  • Supermega has a podcast with a whole bunch of listeners and a channel that will let them do what they want including live action skits or vlogs that are actually entertaining
Arin? Well he just has a dying channel with controversies piling up on him while pissing away any potential growth by being a fucking asshole, he literally had everything set up to make game grumps a bigger channel than before when Oney and his boys joined

This is why I don't put any stock in the idea that Arin having a business proves that he isn't stupid. He might have a business, but evidence suggests that it's not a well run business.

Should Ross and Jared be included on here?

Ross has been the butt of the jokes on GG for a long time but he was a vital part because of the chemistry with Danny on Steam Train. After he dove into full work on Gamoverse, he's had ups and downs but has took it all like a champ. His time to shine is coming soon but better be soon-ish, it's been years.

Jared, trying to copy Ross on announcing his divorce from his wife, didn't realize he married a lunatic and got dunked on hard. Instead of begging the mob for forgiveness he gathered his evidence, composed a video, exposed those two troons for being batshit crazy Lovelies that used him for attention and told dramawhores to fuck off about his horny sideblog lovelife. Now his channel isn't as big as it used to be but he's got a decent audience again. If Jon is proof you can ignore the cancel culture and rise above it, Jared is proof you can confront it and still keep your nuts.

Arin should've seen the writing on the wall when Oney and his boys left but that fucker has proven he's got reading issues. GG started in 2012. Will Arin claw his way to the 10th anniversary milestone or cut his losses early and try his hand at art again? Place your bets. 🚬

I actually forgot about Ross as he's part of the newgrounds "problematic" past, I mainly wanted to mention the NG folks he used to be friends with as he used a backstabbing of NG to get easy brownie points with the lovelies. Supermega was so buddy-buddy with Oney that it was shocking when the split happened, I truly wish we get to know how much of Arin affected the friendship

Anyone else like Projared definitely got a lot of fuckery from Arin, but the Newgrounds folk got the worst of it I feel

What really makes me mad is that Arin has gone on record saying he HATES Sonic the Hedgehog and even recently said the tired old "Sonic was never good" phrase and BELIEVING IT, and he gets to advertise for Sega.
Then again, the man hates lots of things and the reality is he's just really bad, if the Ocarina of Time LP is anything to go by.

Danny could very well break off and go back to doing full time music, too. Don't know how much baggage he has past Game Grumps, since i feel that was all a bad influence.
