Question for everyone in the thread: do you still watch Game Grumps?
If not, when did you stop and when was it made apparent to you they've declined in quality? Ever watch any old episodes? If you had to, which ones? As a fun bonus question, why do you check in on this thread? Doubt this counts as powerleveling, since it's on topic and not that personal. Plus nothing interesting's been happening with the Grumps for months, might as well sperg ourselves. Get a bit of discussion about their actual content going.
We've had a couple people talk about this in the thread before but it'd be cool to get a general consensus, maybe make a poll or something.[/SPOILER]
I do on occasion, mainly when they play a game that I like, or if the game looks interesting to me. The last full episode I watched was Arin and Dan's go round with a traffic school simulator, where Arin played it straight until halfway through.
But there are probably literally hundreds of episodes that I have not watched, and will never make time to watch, either because I'm not a fan of the game, or I already saw the funniest (your mileage may vary) jokes and bits on the endless GG compilations that are floating around out there. And I've never watched anything featuring Jon in it. I came in after Dan had long replaced him, when I was curious about Super Mario Maker, did a Google search, and episode 2 of their playthrough was one of the first three results.
I still check on this thread, mainly to see if today is the day that Dan finally leaves the series out of boredom, or if something Arin once said in a video or on Twitter finally comes back to haunt him. And there's always the possibility that Dan gets put through the wringer once enough of the girls half his age decide to publicly accuse him of using them for a pump and dump. But unlike Mini Ladd, at least Dan seems to wait until they're at least able to legally buy cigarettes or vote. And really, that doesn't make him much different from a lot of rock musicians his age.
Really, I don't see the series coming to an end this year, or any time soon. Many people here have commented how they can tell Danny is just going through the motions now, and how he's supposedly looking to get out before Arin drags him further down into the muck. I personally can't tell, and they do both seem to act to my ears like they're still very much enjoying each other's company and making new videos.
