While your correct my only conplaint is that Kenji put me out instead of putting out... Anyway someone on rantgrumps brought up frustration with Arin using guides to play through Ace Attorney & Ka- Dangam Rompa.

So I was already losing interest towards the end of Sonic 06' and the stop-start nature of side episodes (Pokémon should have had more episodes for example, since it got merch) was fairly annoying compared to Two Best Friends Play. I understand why channels do so, metrics, ad-rates and other factors played a major factor in the "meta" of YouTube post network era. I still find it annoying as someone who semi-casually watches OneyPlays too. What fast tracked my departure was Danny's introduction and the treatment of Jon within that timeframe. Danny is far too low-energy for me.

I revisit the odd clip or two, mostly from Sonic 06' - I find it highly quotable.

As for why I visit? Simple. Arin is unlikeable. He is an example of someone who has been given so many opportunities as an online media creative and half-arsed everything and yet is still rewarded. So I enjoy watching his decline be documented.

This entire /v/ AMA really hits a lot different given everything that's happened in the past 2 years, and how spot on some of that guy's predictions were. If it wasn't RicePirate or anyone else within their friend group then they had the foresight of a fucking god. Because holy shit.

I find it interesting that Oney and PyschicPebbles were asked to replace Jon and both said no. If true the fact that Chris has his own let's play show and that Zach joined when asked must make Arin silently seethe.

They knew better, arin probably only asked because they were both newgrounds artists (before he turned his back on the website) and he wanted to get easy views by going "look 2 epic newgrounds animators doing LPs"

Not in a great many years. Jon-era stuff was legit fun, and I suspect it's because Arin didn't put this pressure on himself to be the now-phony fuck he's decided to become. Felt more 'genuine'. As far as Dan-era stuff goes Trauma Center was a great deal of fun, but was the first time I noticed the trend of "oh Arin's gonna drop this because he sucks at it huh". I suppose another highlight would be Dan not being able to make it through the sentence and cracking up real bad attributing Arin's win in that baby racing game to his character's 'fast twitch muscle fibers'. Shit actually got me pretty good.
 
Like someone had mentioned. At the time it was this really big deal to have two personalities get in on this together. I also point to it as the first really commercialization of LPs. Because sure you had DSP making money, but something about game grumps was so much slicker and I remember it being advertised everywhere. I gave up during like Super Metroid, and Pokemon Fire Red. Because even to this day I only watch LPs to see a new take or a game I am not playing ever. But they couldnt figure out my favorite game ever when I only watched Super Metroid lps to see people do fun speedrun shit.

Although, to this day I still use "Oh hey, Big Zam". Because that was just some mad good delivery. I am sorry...
