I remember when Null posted a discussion a few months ago about how banks should be regulated. I found it odd that everyone in that thread was agreeing with him instead of making fun of him for using a site like this to push an agenda.

Now that's a sad statement because if I ever got that fame, I'll admit - I'd probably do a bunch of degenerate consumption like drugs and alcohol, but I wouldn't even think about sex as a goal, other than having fame like that makes it easy. Yeah it is easy, but it's also exponentially more risky due to acquiring a whole bunch of antis along with your fame. But, you CAN get laid while being poor, without any direct monetary transfer for it.

The fact that the first thing these mouthbreathers do with fame is "HEH HEH, ME WANT P0000SYYYY" instead of doing actual fun things like investing, using influence for general positivity (e.g., speaking at major cancer charities), and such shows just how vapid, bland, and empty these people really are.
 
This, basically. There's no reason I should be hearing about rape, grooming. or any criminal charge on social meda.

I chalk that up to the inherent weaknesses of forum based chat. Though even certain chan boards have fallen into this cycle so it may just be an internet thing.

I made the same sort of post about 10-15 pages earlier. Instead of laughing at the whole situation, we act like moralfagging autists on Reddit and Tumblr.

Wouldn't surprise me if the Farms will turn into current something awful a few years from now.

That comment was aimed more at the sentiment that the legality of a matter is the only thing that should concern you. I don't think it's notable that a YouTuber is fucking their fans, that ship sailed long ago. The question is now, will he or the girl for that matter learn anything from this? Value drift is a natural part of communities, internet or otherwise. Especially when you're in the minority, as more people join, more people leave, and more people grow and change. In a KiwiFarms situation, irreverence must be constantly displayed and reinforced, lest you find retards who think we make fun of people for their political beliefs instead. So far, we've done a good job fighting entropy, thanks to the MOTI tag and the fact that we make fun of people from across the political spectrum. But if we don't autistically reinforce that in every thread, eventually Kiwifarms will fall just like the rest of them. Nothing lasts forever.
