Crossposting from the Movieblob thread, since he RT'd Chu's hot take.

Friendly reminder that this was the Flint, Michigan city council who made the decision to change the city's water supplier that started this mess, and then dragged their feet about fixing it:

There is such a thing as too easy a joke.

These comments reminded me of Barry Goldwater. Do you know what the difference was between William Jennings Bryan, Barry Goldwater, and Bernie Sanders? Neither of the first two sucked the dick of the establishment leaders of their party when those party leaders were screwing them over or doing things that went against their principles.

And here I present all my fellow Kiwis a challenge: if anyone can find a wronger take on Animal Farm than the above, I'll personally donate $100 to Mermaids UK.

Also I'm amused that none of these "communist" idiots has even touched Marxism for Dummies. Marx is absolutely adamant that it is human nature to work.

It's funny how close he is to some truths here.

"The PRC and USSR are both scams. They promised workers' rights, but the workers have been forced to labor longer for a lower standard of living. The workers still had to answer to a boss, the boss was just from the government instead of a private business owner." Yeah. That's right.

"Laziness should be celebrated as a virtue." No. Fuck off.

He really thinks that labor saving, world changing inventions were designed and brought into production by lazy sacks of shit whose goal in life was sitting on the couch all day fapping to trannies? Laziness is a vice because it involves not wanting to do fucking anything productive or improving, including artistic and creative endeavors. There's nothing virtuous or good about it. It only degrades the individual and the environment. Work meanwhile can be taken to an unhealthy extreme, but generally produces some kind of tangible positive outcome for someone.

Chu also seems to be one of those people who thinks that the only reason we don't live in a post scarcity world is because we haven't decided that we do.

You would literally have to think it was about Nazis to be any dumber or more autistic. It just goes to show that having a giant collection of trivia in your head doesn't mean you understand any of it and Ching Chong Chu surely does not.

Animal Farm is not particularly difficult either. It is a crude allegory that beats you over the head with every message it has. Because it was directed at Communists, who were pretty dumb even at the time but nothing compared to the obdurate stupidity of the current batch.

Arthur's wife didn't just leave him because he was sexually unsatisfying, but he was also emotionally unsatisfying as well. You can see it in his narcissistic supply-fueled auto documentary where she talks about her dream of writing a great sci-fi novel and Chu just stares at his fucking phone paying her no mind.

He's the kind of guy who brags about how he can't pleasure his wife like its a good thing because feminism. That shows you how invested he was in her happiness.

PS: Nothing to do with anything, but I adore how he used to be a Twitter king and now he can barely manage to get more RTs than fucking joke alts.

Right, Animal Farm was a parable about how workers are the REAL bad guys standing in the way of the glorious Marxist utopia.

That's why when the pigs turn evil, they stop working, get fat, rich and lazy and exploit their workers... wait?

In the doc, you can also see him making her do garden work by herself even though she has some disability and physical work is extremely painful for her. I wouldn't treat my worst enemy as bad as he treated his wife.

Well considering the Tweet string he just made about how he considers laziness a virtue and he doesn't want to work, I guess he was just being consistent.

He is truly an exceptional figure, he's filled his head with such trivial information but never grasped that there is indeed people who love to work and find fulfillment in working hard.

Right as we speak there's a cook who makes a mere $12 an hour cooking eggs for a breakfast burrito. He's in the weeds and the line is building up with hungry people who just want something they can satiate their hunger with to move on with their day. And this man isn't miserable but happy because cooking to him is just fun, to him it's a dance and he's done it a thousand times and he has a good time doing it. There's a mechanic working on a car getting his hands dirty, the guy feels satisfied with his work because he finds himself at piece while rotating tires and changing oil. To both of these men this work isn't neccessarily "fun" but it is easy to them.

Arthur looks at blue collar people like this and sees them as wage slaves, poor bastards being broken down by the cruelties of dirty capitalism. But these people are actually happier than him, because when the work is done they go out and fraternize with their friends and then fuck with wives. While Arthur screams on Twitter how shitty his life is.

The only thing that Arthur is right on is that the Soviet Union and China do fucking suck. Because unless Arthur had lucked his way into being a do nothing government bureaucrat he would have been thrown in forced labor camps till he died.

Well yeah, because no matter how much you hate your worst enemy, eventually you'd get bored or even disgusted with yourself after you sufficiently tortured them enough.

But if you're a callous, unthinking, unfeeling asshole you're not gonna stop until they're dead, because you're not thinking about them or the consequences of your actions. You're only thinking about yourself.

Of course he thinks laziness is a virtue. All he does is tweet all day, even before the pandemic.

I know I asked before but does he actually have a job? I’m sure he blew all his Jeopardy winnings on that documentary on himself (which made him look like the asshole he is) and vidya

I don't know if he actually has a job or not. I remember that his wife wanted him to get one but he wanted to live off his Jeopardy winnings his whole life, which isn't realistic even for a single man let alone a family. Unless they move to a third world country or something. But that right there was another stunning illustration of his laziness and lack of empathy. I can't believe that she stuck around as long as she did, honestly.
