Careercow Ash/Anna Kreider / Wundergeek / Go Make Me a Sandwich - Takes Feminist Gamer Critic to a New Level

I think she might've found us. As someone who was also horribly bullied as a kid, I can relate to how that anger and resentment can still linger as an adult. (I've put up with a couple of very manipulative guys as an adult.)

I was pretty badly bullied at school for about 2-3 years, kids tend to engage in the sort of cruelty which would get an adult put in a rubber room and denied access to animals so I've got some pretty dark memories and experiences I don't really feel like discussing.
. I got over it and moved on decades ago and if she's still brooding on it to this degree at this stage in life to the point she's still lashing out (or using it as an excuse to shit on people) then something has gone really really wrong .

As for resenting having to deal with unlikable dickheads at a job you hate-get in fucking line with 99% of non-dickhead humans. I didnt see the janitor tormenting women after he spent 2 hours unblocking the privy of women's products.

I'm really curious as to if she's talking about us or someone else. Does she have a track record of being poisonous and hateful to such a degree that its coming back on her even within the subculture? Has she dome some more evil shit outside of that time to used a larp to torment guys? Also we gotta look into these people to see what else she's pulled.
If not whose this main guy she's rallying against?

Given how her latest games are focused on failure like Malignant and vindictiveness like Autonomy, I have to wonder about her. There's also Moonlight Kindgom which borrows a lot from Sailor Moon with magical girls in an ancient Moon Queendom and how they will fail to save it from destruction. If anyone want to see the podcast, go ahead.
I'd take a look at this, and see if it was shit or not, but there's no fuckin' way I'm gonna drop ten dollars a pop on those setting books. For that price, you could get a second-hand copy of the actual Sailor Moon RPG, and just run it grimdark for the same effect.

also, making a game about literal cancer is pretty damn tasteless.

I know Anna has done and is continuing her illustrative work on a series of books called, Princess Charming (someone else is writing them). I made a comment that she needs to work on her backgrounds since they feel bland (more detail in the color and backgrounds). And she replied with, "...seriously?".

So I'm asking for you guys' opinion if my criticism is valid and if there also seems to be something off with the perspective as well.

You're totally justified. There's so much that's wrong that it's a waste of time for me to explain.

tl;dr - work on anatomy, perspective, color theory, pick up a damn book, git gud scrub.

Sorry for the double post but just checked out her hipster wellfare-

$300 month to do bad art, games about cancer and bitch about men at a snails pace? Beginning to think I should get in on this scam. I actually like women so I think I could do it better.

I checked out of curiosity, its down to $229. I'm not sure if writing spuratic articles is worth putting that kind of money in. I've seen plenty of people who can whip out articles on a regular basis with no money needed.

I agree, I have no idea how long she's been drawing, but while she appears to put time into her drawings, she has the most rudimentary grasp of the fundamentals beyond say one of those "How to draw" books.

She's finally got an article and while she starts out nice with the game she was running at GenCon, within time she gets into bringing man-guilting in. I feel like toxic masculinity is a trap term that sounds reasonable on the surface only to lure you in and tear a group down.

Also, the Shadow thing feels like a sexist version of the Dark Powers check from Ravenloft.

Hmmm well at least it's internally consistent bullshit even if it does infer trans people are just faking it.Wonder how long before someone looses their shit about it?

Anna Kreider said:
"PCs have to roll to Resist the Shadow “when [they] give the Shadow an opening into [their] heart by engaging in toxic behavior”, which is a reflection of internalized misogyny and the toxic scripts that people of all genders – not just men – internalize. But…
Well. …can you keep a secret, readers? Of course you can. I can trust you.
See, what I never actually say when I run the game is that the Shadow is actually patriarchy. Instead, I do a bit of a shell game when I introduce the game to men at the table – I tell them that the Shadow is toxic masculinity, and that’s why the men in this world are so vulnerable to the Shadow. Because the idea of “man” is what makes them vulnerable to its influence. And all of that is true!"
This really sounds like she's just given herself an in-game excuse to do something horrible to any player character she doesn't like

Anna is a terrible GM and I would not let her lead my game

I have to wonder what a session with all women in it (who all play women) would be like. She'd probably be a little nicer, I guess.

She's now announced that..."Hey. So. Not how I planned on doing this but I’m asexual and genderqueer. I was hoping to figure out what the fuck that means for me before saying anything, but my hand is getting forced, so fuck it."
So if she hates being a woman so much, why is she still a feminist?

I'm curious how she's react to people playing the opposite gender. My current game has two off us playing opposites. I wonder if she could resist the urge to tmake a big deal if it. Especially considering we're playing vampire the masquerade and gender is purley cosmetic.

If The Watch session is any indicator, than there might be problems.

Some feminists are ok with men or male-identifying people calling themselves feminists.

She might give them a chance since they happen to be women, but in the end I'd imagine she'd treat them just as poorly if they don't follow her every little whim or did something they were not aware she considered 'toxic'

Now the male NPCs though would have problems.
