I feel Talk To Staff is a bit too stuffy for some people feeling comfortable asking small or simple questions to moderators, and I also believe there could be some more levity between staff and users.

Try to avoid using this to interrogate about moderation decisions, like "Why was I banned?" since that's something that genuinely should be handled in Talk To Staff. Threads posted there will be treated with more urgency and seriousness. Generally.

Use this thread to ask us questions, serious or not, and we'll answer them accordingly to whimsy.

don't quite get if the ability to delete posts and thread ban is global or limited to the respective mod tasked to clean up a certain aisle. If its the former, I get at least my ban
There are global moderators and forum moderators. For example I only have permissions in the Beauty Parlour areas.

Look, I'm not trying to start shit or get myself in trouble but I'm very curious as to why when you get something deleted, you can't see what was deleted so you have no idea what it is that you did wrong. The mistake can be repeated in the future because you have no idea what got taken away.
On top of that, I have had one thing deleted by Null where the reason given was pretty explanatory even though I needed further clarification, which he gave to me immediately and promptly.
But then I get snarky unhelpful reasons like this, which I imagine are from different moderators:

That's not helpful, and it doesn't keep people from remaking the same mistake. I have a lot of free time with the whole chronic no life thing, so I make a good amount of posts each day.
How am I supposed to learn anything from a snarky response and an inability to see what was deleted?
I am hesitant to ask this question because I don't want to get in any further trouble or make myself a target, but I also don't want to keep making the same mistakes in the future and become some kind of problem who does end up getting in trouble. It's kind of a double edged sword, so I figure I ought to just ask.
TL;DR: When you can't look at the content that was deleted to see what you did wrong, and the reason for deletion is a shitty response from a random moderator, how are you supposed to keep for making the same mistake?
You can just ask what it used to say.

This is the deleted post.

You fell for smallpox blankets.

Do mods ever crashout?
Yes. It's embarrassing.

How do you feel about pineapple on pizza?
The subtle sweetness of pineapple juice compliments pizza decently, but pineapple itself is too strong and has a strange texture and consistency, making it overall unpleasant.

Serious question, why don't you guys ban people for shit like this? I think everywhere that's not a shitting board, users themselves will call people out of doubleposting or not thumbnailing, anyone who doesn't know better finds out quick enough. People get a fuck ton of leeway, seems to me.
Some users get threadbanned if they repeatedly doublepost despite repeated criticism and warning, but it needs to be an identifiable problem. Just doubleposting alone isn't enough to justify a ban of any capacity.

I don't understand why this sticker earns fewer points than "informative," given that people seem to value it more, based on what I see. The sticker basically functions like a lesser "Achievement" sticker, except it doesn't come from Null but rather donators.
"Informative" gives the most points because it's most aligned to the purpose of the forum. Even then, nobody sees point totals anymore, so I don't think it matters that much.

Because it's how Xenforo works.

The hate is largely a meme. Not my favorite, but not terrible either.

If you keep ignoring warnings about double posting, you do get threadbanned over it. Or, at least, I did that to people when I was an A&N mod.

Local mods can delete, threadban, and board ban users in their own sphere (Thunderdome mod has the power to delete posts thread/board ban users in all of the Autistic Thunderdome, but lacks the ability to do that in the lolcow threads).

Global mods have the ability to do so in every thread as well as some additional powers.

What are these additional powers that local mods don't have?

I see you and your profile picture here all the time but I can never figure out what it's supposed to be. Is it from something?

Are joke/meme reports annoying?
No. It means less work.

I'd like to know what part of this video constitutes "advertising a whore" when it's just a silly halloween costume, has no nudity, and has no links to any social media?

thats a big no no you retard.
except plenty of people do it. And 00 seems to dislike deleting them unless you report them and he has to. It should've been deleted because it is extremely unfunny and won't make you laugh hysterically.

@mods I notice I can see a hidden board now and I seem to be able to edit my posts for a longer time window. WTF happened
