Assassin's Creed thread

Yeah, they fucked up seating positions and architecture (it's more Chinese-style than Japanese) so I wouldn't be surprised if that's a fuck up by them. Crazy how AnalCreed went from autistically and painstakinly recreating historical buildings to this.

For all of its issues, Dragon Age Inquisition did a really good job in making all of the party members able to be romanced but also they have preferences. And those preferences make sense.

Like Blackwell, the human knight, is straight. He can be romanced by the player of any race, but you have to be female. Iron Bull, on the other hand, is DTF anyone and anything.

I also appreciate that their preferences mattered. Dorian the wizard was chased out of his home country for being gay. So him only getting with a male PC is relevant. Solas the elf will only romance you if you are specifically a female elf, and his backstory makes that very important.

Oh right, Ass Creed thread. From hiring a gender studies major as a historical consultant to every single member of the writing team being an avowed wokist, it seems like this is going to be an absolute nightmare of a story. I’m envisioning a scene where Yasuke gets beaten down, but then he digs deep and defiantly stands tall and proud because “my people will never bow to anyone ever again” or something equally cringe.

They probably didn't know or care (their consultant is a fujoshi) and they outsourced that part to their asian/chinese studios.

Reminds me of when Sony caught shit for bringing on that flautist for the Ghost of Tsushima presentation because he was a white guy playing a Japanese flute when in reality there's only like five guys alive who are considered masters of it and he was one of them.

It is ideology thing. They know damn well what they were doing. What leftists do is to bend over male/female terms into just one word in order to achieve a gender neutral language, it's something they teach at working spaces and academia now in order to get everyone to comply to it.

Here is a post from 4chan going through how reddit does this. Very similar how corporations and academics are incentivising people to talk as well. You should avoid using this type of a language since it can actually mess up they way you think.

I had the same realization earlier this week and looked up further information to understand the rationale. According to Wikipedia (while understanding the faultiness of Wikipedia, of course), there's doubt about the historical use of "kunoichi" because there's no record of there ever being female ninja to apply it to, and it may be the case the term only came into the popular lexicon in the 20th century because of entertainment media. If this is really the case, then I grant Ubisoft a pass in using "shinobi" as a historically-accurate gender-neutral term. A woman can be shinobi, but a man cannot be kunoichi.

I'm also pretty certain that this choice of words was influenced a lot by marketing, "shinobi" being much more recognized and appealing to the English-speaking audience than "kunoichi".

It was never about justice or representation. It was powerplay. They do not want to help the marginalised, they want to appear like they do. In Social Justice, appearences matter more than substance or results. They do not want discrimination to end. Afterall, the moment it does, all those anti-discrimination charities and organizations will lose business as their monster died and their purpose was fulfilled. It is far more profitable to just keep everyone fighting each other and make cash by asking for donations when the blood is boiling. Do not fall for their siren 's call.

Japan really does more justice for Yasuke than US. His recent arc in the battle manga Tenkaichi that makes him a pretty cool & somewhat nuanced character too.

For those who don't know what is Tenkaichi, imagine this:
But as a Japanese history battle manga.

Califaggotry is unironically ruining the sincere name of a guy who was somewhat liked by the Japanese for his uniqueness (mainly being a nigger in Japan at the time) by their insincere & forced pandering.

Hollywood can do it, it's done it before, it's done it a lot in the 80's (the legendary Pam Grier), later in the 90's (Halle Berry, Tatyana Ali, Angela Bassett as Mace in Strange Days), a pretty ample amount in the 2000's (Zoe Saldana, Rihanna, Aaliyah, Nicole Scherzinger), & rarely in the 2010's, which somewhat carried foward into the 2020's now (Ella Balinska, Nathalie Emmanuel, Nafessa Williams, Keke Palmer, Teyonah Parris, Tika Sumpter, Megan Thee Stallion (without make-up), even fucking Viola Davis is almost uglified on purpose). They just refuse to do it, half of it due unironic seethe & jealousy from White Karens (there's an entire "jews run the world" theory of their own in the Hollywood make-up industry based on old, liberal White Karens being the kikes),

The same goes for Asians, Latinas, Pajeetas, etc., but specially Asians, cause the men suffer almost as much, if not worse than the women.
