Assassin's Creed thread

Yasuke wasn't a main character in Nioh, faggot.
He was a boss wasn't he? And you got to beat his ass as the white european man William Adams. lol.

He was also a samurai in that game for some reason? I feel like that probably fed the misconceptions that he was anything but a manslave.
Nioh at least has the excuse of it being fictional yet it's somehow still more accurate at times than Ass Creed these days. Nice one Ubisoft.

No that's also true, he was killed while fleeing after the honni-ji incident
Well, the Jesuit narrative was that he was let go because Akechi didn't see it fit to kill an animal or have Japanese laws apply to someone who isn't Japanese.

It's without a doubt white christians would be major antagonist for black and asian team up, but is Ubi retarded enough to make white guy main antagonist or some daimyo will be big bad.
Also making arriving people in closed country bad guys worth exterminating seems pretty nationalistic and anti-globalistic. But it's white devils you see, they are really seed of all evil

If you really want to make fanfiction nigger an important character just make akechi the playable character and make him bffs with yosuke like ezio and da vinci.
You get the samurai/assassin mc, you can make nobunaga man bad for extra jap asspats and a nice reason for him and akechi dissapearing from the history books after the betrayal

Yes exactly. He came there with jesuits as a missionary or sonthe story is told. I believe he was most likely a slave that was "exonerated" by Nobunaga for being a nig.

The quote was somwthig a long the lines of "you do not have to slay the beast because the beast master is incompetent"

Even Nobunaga saw a nigger as subhuman but kept him around because he collected oddities a d was eccentric.

Aka. a retarded rock collector

I replayed 2 and brotherhood a while back. They really did something few other games have. Genetic memory, history being fabricated to an extensive degree, and an eternal shadow war of ideology revolving around magic-like technology all blended together to create a distinct existential atmosphere. Not horrific or philosophical but an interesting portrayal of human existence.

Ezio hearing Desmond's name was the highest peak of the series, and that was forever ago. That put all the irregularities together. I don't think there's been a better plot twist in any other game. Just perfect.

and then we all know what happened

AnalCreed used to have a coherent story but then the main creators left after either 2, Brotherhood or Revelations so the series just became an annual Ubislop tower climbing moneymaker until it eventually became an excuse to put niggers and girlboss women who look like troons into every single great time period and culture in history.

I remember my enjoyment of Ass Creed hitting a peak with AC3 playing as Haytham. The combat flowed so well, the characters were enjoyable, and they set up the 1750's fantastically.

Then I started playing as Connor. And all those cool characters you learned to like are suddenly the bad guys, including Haytham. And your new MC has the personality of a tree. The sailing was the most memorable part of the game, and Ubi took notes because that's the only thing they decided was worth doing more of.

It was really downhill from there. AC4 was a good pirate game, but it was an AWFUL Assassins Creed, and that was the point they really lost the plot, because Ubisoft decided that making Assassins Creed games where you do anything but assassin stuff is going to print money. Which is why ever since, there has either been sailing, mythological shit, having the whole Assassins vs Templars plot be little more than background stuff that means NOTHING, and you could take the AC logo off the front of the last couple games and no one would notice.

French company takes another countries culture and alters it to fit their cultural views. Isn't there a term for that?
Cultural Colonialists/Conquistadors
I wonder if they’ll continue the habit (since Odyssey, though I believe they ruined Jacob Frye like this too) of faggot protags with Yasuke. You just know half the people beating their chest over this will get real quiet then.

ETA:
The “Japanese expert” they hired is a Japanese fag history professor. :story: You couldn’t make this up with a million years and a crystal ball.
Note the pedos being framed as a good thing.

He’s gonna be gay, and for sure the Kunoichi.

She has a fucking expertise in Yaoi, she isn't just a goddamn expert Fujoshi, but a specific expert of BL shotacon of all things. What do you even do with this sort of study in Japan? Write a university thesis on fucking Boku no Pico?

Also, then there's that "Schmidt"

He "cares" about Japanese representation.

I fucking love this, the guy isn't even Japanese, he's Korean. He's moral-fagging & virtue-signalling for this shit while he's literally from the country that possibly seethes about Japan the most to this day to the point of ridiculousness, if not mockery (if you ever want an example for the term "colonial hangover", look no further than Korea).

Also, his bio says 교포 which means "overseas Korean", or "Korean resident abroad". He's Korean American, he barely has the right to talk about even any Korean mainland problems, let alone Japanese ones.

Some folks in the comments sections of that article are calling out the actual cultural appropriation and they're just getting responses like "cry harder, bro" and "you only care because he's black". It's all so tiresome.
Apparently the new narrative is: "you hate black people and women".

His take was peak unhinged too.

“Japanese men, we’ve seen you enough in the culture you made. Mom said it’s Darryl’s turn to play samurai so gtfo.”

he was a stage boss sure, one of about 100 or so. He was a little oddity, and I am not sure if he even said anything. Just one of the many generic tough enemies the game had plenty off.

Sexy Cat Bitch has more prominance and was a proper Yokai boss.

If you look him up in the in game codex it explicitly calls him a retainer too.

Nioh devs knew what was up.

Kinda fucking crazy that actual history is being rewritten in order to appease a video game. People can say "its only wikipedia and most news outlets" but what comes up when you search online for information, its those sites.

All history is a lie, its just something that is used to suit whomever is in charge.

Like the new CEO of NPR (formerly CE of Wikipedia) said: "Truth is an outdated concept".
I wonder what future historians will say about our current time.

I like the historical revisionism thing Ubisoft has going. They tried selling us that ancient Egyptians were black, they want to sell that Yasuke was a mighty and powerful daimyo under Nobunaga. I guess I am more excited at the future possibilities of their "alternate history" universe. Picture an all-black spanish armada facing an all-black british navy at Traffalgar. Why limit yourself to certain events. Have the Roald Amundsen expedition to the south pole be entire black men. The sky's the limit.
