It gets even worse. From Savvy, Ubisoft is pushing transgenerational love between monks and little boys.

EDIT: YouTubers are going to make bank from ranting about this, now that it got Grummz's attention.

Source for this is their 'expert japan history consultant' is this woman in those screenshots.

I am interested in liteary and pictorial representations of gender, sexuality, and class in pre-seventeenth-century Japanese narratives as well as analyzing the modern metanarratives thereof. My first book, Tales of Idolized Boys: Male-Male Love in Medieval Japanese Narratives (University of Hawai`i Press, 2021) is on medieval chigo monogatari (Buddhist acolyte tales), which often depict romantic relationships between Buddhist priests and adolescent boys. These tales challenge a host of normative and moral standards we--academics, non-academics, the far-right, the far-left, and beyond--internalize, including such ideas as "sexual orientation," "transgenerational sex," and "sexual agency." A detailed review of my book for general audience is available for free: https://wapercyfoundation.org/?p=1133

Selected Publications

I really hope this is one of those cat ladies and never ended up with a son to troon out or worse, and that she doesn't have any access to children.

Confirmed they/them:

Credits page= somehow the Osaka office only has one Japanese concept artist that worked on this project. This is a frog failure through and through lol

Anyone mind backing this up on catbox or something? Don't feel like making an account on a porn site just to do so myself
Double post bc different topic and bearing gifts. FYI imgur gallery downloading I think has been broken for years.
But thanks to some enterprising ruski's the e-hentai files are in the wild.
(I did a hash comparison of a random page from the e-hentai 'original' and it matched and it's also the same filecount. I used a throwaway email.)

As weird as it sounds, I've begun to really enjoy slopfest games. It's fascinating watching how hilariously bad these can get.
I'm right there with you. I actually feel relief when I hear the next [established franchise] game is going to be a live service, or have forced co-op, or some other gay shit. It means I don't have to care any more and can kick back and enjoy the blood sports.

I can't wait to see how this game performs. It has a lot more going for it than any of last year's flops, but will that be enough to overcome all the bullshit they've done to gimp the game?
You can say a lot of negative things about the game but the artbook is great.

It's sad seeing talented people put so much work into such a generic game that players will sleepwalk through then never think about ever again.

Artbooks are always great, I collect them.

Here is a pic of my small collection. Really glad I could put my hands on Raising the bar. Halflife 2 artbook.
I will of course not add AC shadows artbook to my collection.

Interesting twist is that since AC Shadows is so unpopular, an artbook from the game might become a real rarity in a hundred years of so. People always save the popular stuff. Making it so that the unpopular stuff becomes really rare and valuable.

Aside from the fantastical elements like the Isu,
Assassins Creed at least in the past, prided itself on historical accuracy. Hell, I remember someone telling me their professor used it in class to teach history. It's why Black Flag didn't and even joked about having pirate hook hands.
But now? Ubisoft is basically like : Fuck that DEI! Black and Transgender Samurai!!!

iirc imgur actively blocks you with the wrong referrer, they're that deep into libshit.

some of ubisofts artists are still top notch, heck even some of their engine devs are actually improving the engine (probably too technical for any woke infestation).
they're just hampered by all the mandated DEI shit and managers.

Ghosts of Tsushima really broke this studio, didn’t it?
I don't see much sneething from Ubisoft- rather, the way I see it is that the Ubisoft has likely become a giant headless golem that's impossible to control because it's gotten so corporate (Meetings! Multiple levels of approvals! DEI! ERGs!)

Any vision is probably blunted by the corporate machine, and it takes a mile to even turn the thing- I mean, what happened to Beyond Good and Evil 2?

I guess you could say that. But you have to wonder if this Yasuke crap is because they needed to do SOMETHING to move the needle because Sucker Punch managed to beat them at their own game, and give their fans what they wanted by having their setting be Japan. With a Kurosawa mode.

To be fair, this studio has always been dogshit. Ubisoft Montreal is the big main studio and they had a solid resume of great games released. Meanwhile Ubisoft Quebec (the AC Shadows dev) made AC Syndicate and AC Odyssey. Syndicate was the game that ruined the entire fun of parkour by introducing a fucking line launcher/grappling hook all so they could introduce drivable carriages. It had the jankiest animations in the series when it released and was carried heavily by the location and atmosphere. The fact that it was in a functional state after people were exposed to Unity's dogshit release is what made people more accepting of it. Odyssey on the other hand was an abomination that was the worst offender of the RPG trilogy.

I think Yasuke was self-inflicted based on the 2020 Floydmania and the leftist atmosphere that pervades Ubisoft. IMO no one would have complained about having two open-world games with Japanese samurai and ninjas.

It would have been like being offered two cakes rather than just one!

I'm curious as to how Naoe plays. If I can naruto run ala that little nigger at area 51 and leap from rooftop to rooftop then stealthily enter a building and assassinate someone by crawling on the ceiling ill be satisfied.

Nobody cares about nigger samurai though.

I can confirm that Oichi, Nobunaga's sister appears in the game. I wonder if they'll show her suicide by immolation.

Just when I think it can't get any worse ot somehow just does. Are these people insane? As weird as it sounds, I've begun to really enjoy slopfest games. It's fascinating watching how hilariously bad these can get. I'm disappointed though, they never quite hit their true potential. Dustborn, for instance, should've ended with the cast fighting Trump on Mecha Jesus to save Mecca. Very phoned in.

I would love to see the opening be Yasuke slicing and eating watermelon to rap music or something. I genuinely think that's possible at this point.
It's sad when Samurai Warriors is more faithful to the setting than they are.

I know they were saving feudal Japan as a 'get out of jail free' card for ages. Everyone wanted ninja assassins as far back as AssCreed 2. Having Assassin Hattori Hanzo versus Templar Hideyoshi Toyotomi would have been fire.

Ghosts of Tsushima just filled the void that they refused to.

Artbook has leaked:

(Also on e-hentai as a backup lol)

Still pushing the samurai angle it seems:

Strange ahistory/poor wording regarding Kyoto, as the artbook asserts it was 'Largely untouched by Japan's sectional warfare', whereas IRL the entire city was effectively destroyed during the Onin War around a hundred years before Ass Creed Shadows begins.

It's sort of like saying "Largely untouched by Europe's sectional tensions, Munich has long played a crucial role in the development of German cultural traditions." It might be true during the Cold War, but not true within contextual history.

It might be just my 'tism acting up, but this part about Kyoto being "untouched by violence" really is the pinnacle of how much they treat the setting and history with disrespect. They don't care about the history at all because it won't find with their idea of orientalists Feudal Japan
Suffice to say, if they can't get such a basic fact like this, the others will be so much worse
