Assassin's Creed thread

Ubisoft owns Rayman, Anno, Prince of Persia, all of the Tom Clancy games, Far Cry, Watchdogs, Might & Magic, and a few others.
Their last Anno game, 1800, was pretty good and they got a Rome one in the works. One interesting thing about 1800 is it is pretty clear they planned on adding a China themed region (The chinese Princess NPC and the noticeable lack of tea) but canceled it due to not wanting to offend China. So Ubi cares about Chinese sensibilities, but shits all over Japanese ones.

If I had a nickel for every time a major series launched it's latest entry on the same day as a new Xenoblade game, and the game gets panned while the new Xenoblade game gets universal acclaim from everyone. I'd have two nickel.

It's not a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

Seriously. You know what we got the same day that Xenoblade 3 released? The Last Of Us Part 2...

Out of curiosity, has it been confirmed that there's only one straight romance option?
The bootlickers would be all over that showing off additional options if that weren't the case.
in b4 "people were out partying and weren't gaming" copes
Don't give them ideas. All of the gamers have been out clubbing all weekend, too busy to play the latest ubisoft game when it launches.
I wouldn't be surprised if they included people who get the game through the Ubisoft subscription fee. Similarly, Kingdom Come 2 claimed to have an excess of 2 million copies sold, but peaked at around 250k players on Steam.
That actually fits fairly well with monster hunter peaking at 1.3 million on steam and having 8 million sales(not just players) in the first 3 days.

Connoseurs of Welsh catgirls/Reyn time/pretty scenery and mech battles stay winning.

I had three people in front of me picking up their copy of Shadows as I was picking up my copy of X. I'm surprised it's still failing when there's still these normie consumers who are just gonna play the game.

Also if I had to choose between shitty open world or a shitty movie game I'll take the shitty open world game. At least that one doesn't have failed movie directors larping as game devs. Or at least they're not front and center.

At this point if this hits 80k on steam I will be shocked. That is a disaster for steam, it damn well better be selling by the millions on console or ubi is fucked. I predicted it would break even, even though ubi needs a hit, now I don't know.

Why do these niggers have 5-6 different stocks and they are all dumping right now.
There is even some private "Ubisoft Japan" stocks, wonder if members of the royal family and government are happy with their shares right now.
Ubisoft financialized their debt which means you can purchase their commerical paper through the bank of france. Plus they are listed on other markets than just the Paris exchange.
