Science At last, Giant Robot Fights are a real thing

Link in OP is broken, I think this is what you were trying to link to though: https://go.twitch.tv/megabotsinc

Honestly, I completely forgot this was even a thing. I remember hearing about it 2-3 years ago and every time the topic started trending they never provided any information on when they were actually going to do anything with the robots. After a while I just stopped caring.

Would you settle for a forklift and a golf cart with some shit glued to them?

I remember when battlebots was a thing and everyone thought we'd have chainsaws and hammers hanging off the things.. Two seasons later they all looked like wedges. Fucking door jams on wheels, because that simple shit actually worked.

lmao wedges haven't been the dominant design in the robot combat scene since La Machine in fucking 1997

Everyone knows it's all about the horizontal bar spinner right now, with Tombstone and Carbide winning both the major US and UK championship circuits respectively.

Look, I'll admit I've been out of the competitive robot combat circuit since since War Bastard lost to T.F.U.II.

Oh shit, it's actually happening? I thought it was in relation to the Third Impact date and then just totally forgot about it.

It'll most likely be a curb-stomp battle, but it should be a fun way to waste an hour.

So, what do these robots look like and how are they going to fight each other?
I assume they have targets on them that upon being hit by a tennis ball will simulate damage?

I'm still waiting for the day that these bad boys become the forefront of how we fight wars, thank you very much. Tanks and jets, etc. are becoming more and more passe by the day.
