Honestly, I’d just say that things get more incoherent through just everyone trying to play chess over angering who’d get the Titan shifter powers, and the Game of Thrones like political games, and the just dumping of the worldbuilding that wasn’t done because of the focus on the Titan fights.

I can understand shitposters calling him a (problematic) Husbando, but "Daddy" is where I cringe and cross the line.
Honestly the OVAs are kinda hit or miss, the only fun one was the Sasha and Jean one only because it focused on characters that were actually good and still hold up (I hope the anime keeps in how Jean married Mikasa just for more Erenfag seething).
The Choice With No Regrets ones are also very good (their exact authorship and canonical stance not withstanding), so I've always wondered why they were never dubbed until now, especially considering how Levi's popularity practically carries the entire franchise.
Must be some weird stance with OVAs, but really many of the Attack on Titan OVAs are pretty good barring the weird Mikasa one
I was re-reading Dune recently and I think the final arc could've worked if Eren was handled like Paul in Dune. Right down to using the rumbling as a way of strong-arming humanity (where as Paul threatens to destroy all the spice on Arrakis). At that point though, you're just making a worse Dune in my opinion.
Not gonna lie, if there is a movie, I am going to see it in theaters if only just to see Eren's incel meltdown on the big screen.
I'd do the same to be fair. I just believe it would be rushed since Mappa has cut content in the first half before, and it would be funny if they cut out stuff that Erenfags cited as chad moments (Though knowing anime adaptations, it's probably just more condensed)
Knowing how he also deviated from his plan for Sasha, probably.
