Yeah, this as well. Like I said, Titan AIDs starts when you first transform, so he probably has more than that. But again, Isayama could always go, 'The more Titan shifters you eat, the shorter your life, so Eren has too many Titans so his lifespan is like 2 days now'. Again, Isayama does whatever he wants to this story with no real contextualization, evidence or logic. If he wants it to happen, it just does.

Or he could say that Erin spent a bunch of time in Paths..and since Path's time is Titan Time it counts towards his death.

I mean, at this point fucking anything can happen. Time and space have literally been thrown out the window, and the world-building has been completely shattered once again. I don't even really care how it ends. I know it's gonna end badly. The only question is how badly. How badly does Isayama fuck things up.

I don't even care about Historia's baby daddy anymore. All I care about is whether, or not Levi is dead. Not because I like him, or anything, but because until we get confirmation that Eren used the PATHs system to influence him too, I'm blaming him for most of this. He's supposed to keep Eren under control, and to watch him, and make sure nothing happens to him, and that Eren doesn't do anything stupid, and time after time he's failed, and look what's happened.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying Levi is solely responsible for Eren's genocidal behavior, or that he can clearly handle Eren in both their current states. I'm also not blaming him for things that were clearly out of his control like the Eren's PATHs system shenanigans, or anything of that sort. I'm not saying anything like that.

What I am saying is that if Levi actually made more of an attempt at keeping an eye on Eren instead of just deciding to go fuck off somewhere, things wouldn't have gotten this fucking bad. Also, if he had just learned from his prior mistakes, thought more than five steps ahead, and most importantly next to actually watching Eren, just shut the fuck up, Annie wouldn't be a human disco ball, Zeke would've been killed, and he wouldn't have gotten his ass blown to kingdom come.

4) This is all a ploy to get the Devil to show up out of hiding. Eren's 'Just as Planned', he fights and kills the Devil and ends the power of the Titans and dies. HE WAS A HERO ALL ALONG YOU SEE GUYZ (Also fuck you if this happens).

Hahahah Isayama would do this, in-fact I want him to now!

Remember way back like thirty-ish chapters ago where it was revealed that being a Titan-Shifter also automatically kills you like thirteen years after you become one? What if that's how Isayama plans on ending this? Eren just keels over because his Titan-Cancer finally takes him out. I think the math matches up pretty well. Currently Eren is, to our knowledge, twenty years old, which means he should be succumbing to his Titan-Cancer soon. Remember, he became one when he was eight, because that's when he ate his dad. It's been about twelve years in-series which means he doesn't have a lot of time left. I don't think we know the actual date and time it currently is right now in the series, but Eren might actually die if it's anywhere past the thirteen year anniversary of when he first became a Titan-Shifter.

That would also be a pretty funny ending, not as funny as luring the devil out of hiding, but still I'd love this aswell

Someone wake me up when they announce they doing film or series adaptation Gundam: Crossbone Vanguard.

Sorry for the small text, but here's an overview of the chapter.
1575530730500.png

The Good News So Far: Annie's confirmed to be awake, and out of the crystal, and Shadis is back, and saves a bunch of recruits who promptly kick his ass.

The Bad News So Far: Still no sign of Levi, Hange, or Historia, Nile, and Pixis have been killed, the Rumbling is still happening, and no one seems to give a shit, because all they do is just stand around talking, Eren's still a giant hellbeast bent on genociding the entire world, and worst of all, this chapter is centered around Gabi.

Also, Reiner is literally trying to take a nap during all of this. Yelena has gun pointed to her head, but I forget who she is, and I neither know who the fuck Onyankopon is, or how to fucking pronounce their name.

So...another filler chapter. Alright. Again, point of Annie being awake? She's been in a five year coma, Eren has surpassed her in every way. She has literally no context of the situation. It honestly does not matter. It's another dumbfuck way this idiot can add a cliffhanger to keep people interested in this fucking re.tard.ation.

I just really really don't see why we should care. This isn't a game changer. Even if you magic her coma away and her recovery is two panels thanks to Titan magic, what can she reasonably accomplish? I literally do not care. She has no idea what is going on or who she should be killing. Alternatively, it'd be hilarious if she were now just a husk mind controlled by Eren and just goes on to kill whatever he wants.

There are living nuclear weapons intent on committing genocide and it just seems like this chapter is another waste of time. Everything should be ramping up and it seems like more wheel spinning.

I just want to turn the pages to the end to see the stupid shit. These are all the boring parts.

EDIT:
I've got something stupid. Annie has a super sekret weapon of beating Eren. She was hibernating and waiting all that time in the crystal isolated from PATHs so Eren couldn't see her (Even though he totally knew she still existed and could be a wrench in his plans and could have planned for her waking up at any time, not needing magical time travel past-future sight or whatever the fuck to compensate for this) and can't use his 'just as planned' powers! The next chapter will be bullshit exposition of why Isayama kept Annie in the crystal so long.

He kept her there because she was 'Break in case of emergency' and holy shit is this story in emergency mode. There is literally no other reason.

I keep on laughing at this panel, because Annie looks like she's fucking OD'd on pills, or some shit.

Annie looks fucking dead lol. How are they going to portray her as useful or is it just going to be Annie sees all this shit and goes
tenor.gif

I mean it is the most logical decision. You have NO idea what's going on, the end of the world is happening, Eren is a bone monster, all your forces are dead. Alternatively, she tries to find Reiner and they want to have sex for the first and last time and as they're doing it a Collosal Titan just steps on them, reducing them both to paste. No time for love on AoT.

Isayama still pushing his personal Mary Sue. Hasn't worked. Won't work. Will never work, no matter how much loli bait you make her.

*Reiner, the only sensible one this chapter says 'fuck all this shit, I am going to sleep, wake me up after Eren murdered everyone.' Though I have a sleep disorder and would also sleep through the apocalypse so it brings me feels.

But I do think Annie's awakening can be used for atmosphere and characterization. Limit the scope to Annie who had no idea what is going on. She wanders through the district in a daze, seeing the death and destruction everywhere. Make it like D-Day on saving private Ryan. Things happen in an almost dreamlike fashion. NOTHING prepared her for this. Maybe she's about die die and Reiner pulls her in his little fox hole. They talk about the past, about Bert, how it came to this. They share an emotional, human connection on the Battlefield and decide to love for themselves. This results in that desperate passion in war, see the enemy at the gates sex scene where these two characters struggle for intimacy at the end of the world in a public setting because it's the last time they might see each other alive.. Maybe they don't love each other, but in that moment they find a connection and a will to live, not to change history but for themselves.

This won't happen because its emotional and impactful and doesn't psychologically torture Reiner. The chapter would be more about Reiner and his pain, Annie would be the catalyst for closing out Reiner's character and arc where he finds some peace. Obviously it doesn't fit with Isayama's coldness on romance. But as a prophet once said, 'Love blooms on the Battlefield'.

I honestly think this is a beautiful way to wrap up both Reiner and Annie's stories without having them die, leaving the more heavy lifting to the main cast.

But since this is emotional, full of sorrow, healing and renewal and hope among utter despair and defeat, it won't happen.

Really at this point, all the plots, all the intrigue should be gone. I think it should just portray Eren as total victory. Focus on the characters, their emotions, how they're dealing with it and their relationships. Maybe have a final or penultimate chapter with JUST Eren and Mikasa talking. Trying to understand each other and recover what they lost. Maybe it works. Maybe it doesn't. This entire end should be solely characterization, character reactions and the closing and culminations of relationships. This should be intensely emotional. How characters know the end is nigh, how they deal with that. Maybe some go on suicide missions. Others break down. Others look to save as many friendly and enemy soldiers as possible. Knowing that Eren is unstoppable, dealing with civilians and uniting around the death they see. Portray humanity as resilient in the face of absolute destruction. This contrasted with Eren's belief he needed to become a monster to beat the monsters.

The themes of characters just coming to embrace their humanity over despair. That even if Eren wins and achieves his goal, it didn't need to be this way. Or maybe Eren just watches this all around him and once he arrives on the shores of Marley the guilt and pain overwhelms him. The feelings of loneliness and isolation come to a head and he just stops. The colossal titans just wreck Marley's military power but stop short of absolute genocide. When Marley is crippled, everything stops. And Eren just disappears. In the epilogue we see what happens. Marley and the Eldians make a tentative peace due to the destruction. Eren has completely disappeared and is wanted by both governments but the search is called off. The Yagerites and the cult of Eren is formally disbanded, but Eren is still worshipped as a God. Yelena and some other loyalists are hanged, but never waver in their faith. Zeke, his goal thwarted and feeling betrayed by his brother, and in a moment of utter hopelessnes kills himself. Levi, seriously injured but alive, opens his tea shop. Levi's story is circular as he takes in a skilled troublemaker under his wing, just like Erwin did. Armin becomes a professor with Hange and they go on crazy adventures. Annie and Reiner return to Marley, get married. Both dedicate their lives to restoring Marley and promoting understandingly. They receive a letter, cryptically, from Eren imply something about their lifespan being longer than they think. Mikasa dedicates the rest of her life in search for Eren.

Eventually, the last few pages has Mikasa finding Eren on a farm, far away from civilization. It turns out he's the father of Historia's baby. He reveals to Mikasa he freed Ymir from slavery and the power of the Titans is fading, and with that the Titan's curse. Eren can live a normal life, free from rage and desperation.

They have an intimate speech about whether he was right or wrong and neither can come to a conclusion or convince the other. A happy looking Historia brings them tea. They speak about old times. He says he knows Armin will never see him again for what he did, but he asks Mikasa to apologize for him. The last panels of the Manga is Mikasa picking up Eren's child and whispering to it, "You are free now." Fin.

Seriously, I'm thinking more and more on that ending. It doesn't rely on emotion, focuses on their characters and ends in a satisfying manner. I mean, this COULD work. Just nothing that is happening is making it.

It's too much jumping with too much titillating of conclusions. I guess it's just making me sad. There ARE ways to make this decent, it's just too far gone and Isayama too disoriented to do it.

My biggest gripe with the story is that the ending revolves around Eren’s overpowered ability. I don’t know if Isayama even understood what the implication of Eren’s omnipresent ability would do to every character’s development.

Did Grisha give Eren the power of the Titans under the belief he could save everyone? Was it an effort to keep him safe? Reckless disregard for his child? Nope. It was Eren going back in time.

Did The Owl give the Attack Titan to Grisha because it was his best option? Why did he wait so long to find his answer while torturing hundreds of his compatriots? Why was Dina not saved? Cause Eren said so.

Why did Eren choose to do anything at all throughout the story? Because Future Eren has dream powers.

Eren put in a difficult situation? Don’t worry. As soon as he learns something new, he can learn a new path dues ex to take since Future Eren shows Grisha who then shows Present Eren.
And this is all thanks to a kiss on the hand.

"He can control the subjects of Ymir at will"

I fucking called it. I called this shit. He just disables all the Titans against him. Annie's resurrection means shit.

Also at Reiner "We gotta warn Marley"

*in Marely*

"OH MY FUCKING GOD OUR HITLER SAID HE WAS GOING TO KILL US ALL"

Also, Eren can't control the mindless Titans because I think Zeke had them under his power, since he's a powerful PATHs user. So I guess there's a limit or Eren didn't give a crap. I'm still going to lose my shit if Annie is the ace up his sleeve. I mean, Isayama is telegraphing Eren as unbeatable.

Even Gabi is like 'Give me Falco and we'll run off in the woods'.

So my point still stands. Eren is unbeatable unless he chooses to be swayed and negotiates, there's some hidden Kaiju Boss Battle Isayama wants to do (dumb as fuck), Eren has to kill the devil and then does super time travel to eliminate the Titans altogether and then the end is the beginning, where Mikasa wakes up Eren or Eren being born. Or the old 'I'm being evil to unite everyone shit'.

I'd prefer it if it was more Eren 'JUST AS PLANNED' and there's some bullshit reason for this excuse and he knows he eradicated all hardening, including Annie. Unless he's purposely setting himself up to be defeated.

I just don't see how Eren loses. I cannot think of a possible scenario right now in the context of the story that works unless Eren chooses to do so or there is some big reason he did genocide which he can't let anyone in on, such as to lure out Satan.

Why does Connie suddenly lose his composure and suggest his mom needs to be saved RIGHT NOW? This feels really shoehorned to give him a reason to go against the group. He already had enough reason with Sasha but I guess that’s been forgotten

All anyone has to say is “after my 13 years, I’ll let her eat me”. Problem Solved

Also, I noticed Gabi made the same pose in the mirror Eren made when he kept telling himself to ‘keep fighting’.
I’m calling it. Gabi is the next Attack Titan and has been fed information from Eren by some unknown ability of sending thoughts to future successors.
Edit:
Or maybe, just maybe, Gabi is the one who’s been controlling all past Attack Titans. If that’s the case, I’ll laugh

To set up that Gabi is going to kill Connie. Because Connie will lose his shit for no other reason than Isayama wants to and Gabi will be 'forced' to kill him. Because Isayama really hates his audience and thinks this is edgy.

Gabi is Isayama's personal Mary Sue. For some reason, he felt he needed a younger equivalent of Eren who was perfect in every way. Since his readership despises her, he keeps forcing it. I wouldn't be surprised if she is integral to the end of the manga. And goddamn Isayama is telegraphing that shit or just re-using poses. Its exactly like Eren. OK FUCKFACE WE GET IT, SHE'S LIKE EREN, STOP. NO ONE CARES.

The only good thing about Gabi right now is that he's at least attempting that she can show comprimise and can reason with Eren and wants peace. She's not super badass Mac 10 destroyer of worlds. I think if anything, they might get a plan together to try and talk to Eren, not to fight him, but Annie wakes up, has no idea what's going on and ruins that plan. They have to fight and kill Annie, but the time it takes them to do that delays them so long the Colossal Titans reach Marley. Or some dumb shit. Who the fuck knows. Annie resurrecting is pointless.

I still think with the things I wrote you can pull off a decent emotional climax and a good ending. Even with all this dumb shit, there's time for the story to be salvaged. I just don't think Isayama wants to.

If you ask me, she's welcome to. Connie's entire character arc since the timeskip is that he wants to kill Eren because he's too fucking stupid to understand that sometimes people laugh when they're sad, too fucking blind to notice the huge stream of tears falling off Eren's face when he found out about Sasha's death, and Mikasa is too fucking dumb to just tell Connie about how Eren laughed when Hannes died and was very clearly sad about it.

Just cut this fucking tumor out of the plot, it's already bad enough.

If Gabi kills Connie she's going to be even more hated, and while Isayama obviously doesn't give a shit anymore, I think he cares just enough (about Gabi, at least), not to have her kill him. Still wouldn't be surprised if he did, though.

I like Connie. He's a useless motherfucker, but I like him. He still has emotions, and I can sympathize with him since he's not a fucking edgelord, or Nazi Marleyan.

He still should've died instead of Sasha.
