What does he mean that by his request he got to draw something? Like as an animator?

Probably like a "Thank you" thing for the audience or something. Like a sort of card.

He's already heavily involved with the anime's adaptation of his work as is (Guaranteed he kept pushing for a lot of dialogue changes since its guaranteed Armin's "Thank you for being a mass murderer" line got cut)

The dunking on that panel is overblown and by far the least of this upcoming episode's issues.

Setting up his own death, enacting this elaborate plan just to appease Ymir, killing his own damn mom who was supposed to be his reason for seeking vengeance, and leading Paradis to destruction are but a few of the shit smears we'll be enduring soon. Being conflicted about his choice to choose his retarded death over running away with Mikasa, and having an emotional outburst over it is small potatoes.
