Re: pigs
Is the reason of genocidal hatred against Eldians explicitly stated to be the pig incident from 2000 years ago? What I'm getting is that Eldians are hated for being able to turn into titans, voluntarily or not, so they're treated the same way, say, werewolves would be - potential unstoppable mass murderers if not contained. Even if they're pacifist it's just a matter of time for some asshole to forcibly turn them into a terror weapon.
I can't shake the feeling you're pulling my leg...

No that was just a butterfly effect type of thing.

It’s pretty much because of the Eldian Empire having an iron grip on the world for thousands of years, and probably destroyed a lot of cultures during those many years.

Thanks... That's horrific. Poor Mikasa, whoever made that is crazy.
Poor Levi

The Pigs escaping are what lead to Ymir getting chased through the woods and falling into the hole that had the Spine Tree that she licked and became a Titan.

They aren't responsible for the hatred but they are what allowed The Eldians to become a bunch of conquering dicks because The Eldian King married a Teenage slave because she could transform into a titan and he wanted his family line to have that ability. Without the Pigs Ymir wouldn't have found the tree and the world would have been unironically better off.

It should've dialed things back a bit, you can have a smart and dramatic show and still be comprehensive, like Death Note.
This comparison honestly tracks, considering how retarded both series got after having a Time Skip…

And I treat both Second Halves like they never happened. AoT ended when they got to the Ocean, everything else is a fever dream.

That's hilarious, maybe that'll be my April Fool's avatar.

The Death Note ending was way better though at least. Light was uncharacteristically overconfident, they basically had to nerf him to make him lose and it just doesn't feel believable, but it's still a fun watch.

Read the manga ending, much better.
I’ll admit , it was fun watching Light go down like a little bitch.

Honestly, Eren doesn’t hold a candle to this shit.

The best Death Note was the one where L set it up that if Light tried to kill him Light would be instantly outed so we didn't have to go through all that Third Kira, Near and Mello shit.

I just remembered that AoT actually got a musical this year, and that Death Note had already beaten it to that too by years at this point, and it also re-aired this year in London.

It's just a coincidence, but it's a fun one. By the way, the Death Note one's soundtrack is way better than it has any right to be. Seriously, they did not have to go this hard, but they did, and it helps make it the best live action adaption of the series there currently is. Not that that's saying much, but still.
