I am not a weeb but something ive noticed is alot of the popular anime now seems to start strong but completly fall apart by the end what gives???
If your manga or anime is making any sort of money it will be taken over by the business side immediately and franchised and merchandised into oblivion.

Good ideas that aren't fleshed out properly.
This seems to be a huge problem with anime and manga in general. The most infamous become such trash fires that most people stop talking about them out of rage, like Usagi Drop and Vampire Knight, and they just kind of fade into obscurity, forgotten. I wonder if this is the fate of Attack on Titan.

Unfortunately, AoT may not become forgotten (?), as the ending was more positively received in the Japanese community, I think. Maybe it would be forgotten in the West.

Also, Japanese media (and maybe the same for other non-Western media in general), either get a pass, or don't get trashed as harshly, compared to the many dumpster fires and dumpster fire endings that Western media has put out in recent years. Game of Thrones Season 8, Mass Effect 3, the Disney Star Wars Sequel Trilogy, LOST, The Last of Us Part II, Cuties, Robyn Hood, Velma, you name it, are some examples, and I don't recall any anime being compared at the same harshness of a level that those medias are. Even Danganronpa V3's ending, while it was divisive, didn't kill off the DR fanbase, like how those Western medias did.

It's Chapter 139's 3rd birthday today:

I thought 139 came out in 2022 or 2023, but time flies fast, I guess. Will people still remember it when it gets to 10 YEARS AT LEAST?

The new Levi spin-off came out and it's literally just Levi trauma-dumping onto Gabi after she makes fun of him for how he drinks tea lmao

Good Lord, they really are trying to milk this dead horse of a franchise some more, aren't they?

Does Isayama owe his coke dealer a lot of money or something?

Usagi Drop
To date and till the day I die, I'll refuse to believe usagi drop was anything but an exceptionally elaborate troll - as the only other explanation is that God has bestowed onto one of the most disgusting perverts on this fucking planet actual writing skills, that he uses to express his vile "should be stoned in front of parents" as shit incest fetish.

Let's be realistic, when people think of him and they aren't porn addicts, erp fanatics or low iq weebs, they don't think "generational epic" anymore, but main caracther pissing in shallow waters about "muh bull, 10 years minimum, please ArminJesus - desu!", forced chink political insertion and ladder-plot writing mechanisms that a child could see are just desperation under time constraint.

I wouldn't let him mow a lawn, let alone touch another Ip.

I love it for the attractive women in skirts and no porn. AoT might be the first time I got to see attractive mango women in skirts (not kimonos) who are not my waifu Maetel.

I hate the ending, obviously. Every single one of those shitty traitors deserved to die. Flurk or whatshisname is the only honorable character.

10 years is a good scene. A terminally ill teenager can't be expected to be awesome every waking moment.

Isayama is good at structuring the narrative. The anime butchered it for no reason and added "Han. Solo."-style gay fanservice. I dropped it on the fifth or so episode, it's terrible.

I'm not a weeb, I can't stand most anime because of the gross pedophilic art. I've only seen a handful of series to the end (Spess train fluffy hat waifu, Fullmetal Alchemist 1 and 2, Gun Frontier, one other terrible Matsumoto thing, Nobunaga Concerto, I think that's it) and dropped maybe another six or so.

At least you got something out of it, I don't know if I'm alone but his art feels super castrated by "same-face" syndrome to the point that if I just zoned out for 1 page I couldn't tell who was who, both men and women, and it only got worse when Mikasa had that short hair.

My main gripe with the manga and anime Itself in the end, after the forced political arc, is that Eren should have won, not because of any faggy political stance or moral stance but because the moment he was allowed to wield the power of the founder, the opposition lost -He was too powerful for anything in-universe to take him down.

Counting both parties at the time of the ending we had a literal resolute bone titan, surrounded by a thousand strong mountain-sized furnaces and force spirits of generations on generations of titan-shifters, all at his command, and the literal backing of what was essentially a Goddess - vs - 2 normals humans, 1 super-human, one cripple and 3(?) titan shifters.

It was 100 chapters by memory of them "No, actually if we just..." their way to a shitty victory - I legit felt more than insulted, like the man was literally pissing in my eyes, when the cocksucking jaw titan(?) came flying into the battlefield because apparently, he was always able to do that.

If you binge watch the anime the faces of the characters are just one big blur. You can barely differentiate between some of them because of how copy-paste it seems like their faces and bodies are. They all wear the same exact uniform and are drawn with the same proportions as well which makes it even more difficult to decipher which characters you are actually looking at.

In the early chapters of Naruto everyone had a unique costume. By the end they were being drawn with more generic outfits because it was too much effort to give them all detailed and individualized clothing.

That actually is the ending though. Eren takes himself down and commits suicide because it's the only way he can lose. He flat out tells his friends in the "paths" that he rumbles 80% of the world then abruptly stops, to allow his friends them to kill him, and therefore become the saviors of the world. It backfires when the world wipes out their entire island in retaliation centuries later because they still fear the power of the titans.

The ending is ridiculous of course. You violently wipe out almost the entire world, disarm your entire populace, then expect no counter strike or return fire and the world just happily lives in the wake of your near genocide. Yet without the threat of another rumbling or titans they can now wipe you out permanently which they always wanted to do apparently. The hatred of the island people was so extreme that most of the 'children of Ymir' even hated them.
