Some people are taking this along with some questionable statements from MAPPA and Yuki Kaji as proof that the anime is going to have an original ending.

I say that even if that is the case, it doesn't matter because this face still exists.

Yeah I doubt it will have an original ending given how hands on Isayama is and MAPPA would’ve taken longer if that was the case. The most changes I could see to the ending is maybe a thing or two being scrapped and a lot of dialogue cleaned up at best.

Can’t wait to see if the shitty finale table will have some new faces. I think Game of Thrones fans has finished the liquor supply though.

The only thing I want from an anime original ending is either for it not to happen at all, or for it to somehow be worse than the manga ending.

Yeah I saw him say that at that panel though it will be funny hearing the whole “I WANT MIKASA TO ONLY THINK OF ME IN 10 YEARS” rant in that voice since it would fit that perfectly.

But Eren’s Japanese VA has it harder probably since Isayama basically is breathing down his neck.
