No, it's actually something a lot less moralfaggy, and one that can actually be considered one of the series' critical flaws because it never really talks about this even though it's a major elephant in the room.
You see, it's only mentioned briefly at the end of the series iirc that Light's actions have stopped (if only just temporarily) all wars. If this is true, then just think of how many people have not just benefited from it, but have also been saved because of it.
Think about being some poor bastard in a war-torn country like Ukraine, Gaza, Sudan, etc. If someone could suddenly make all the pain, and suffering stop, even if for just a little while, all by just killing the select few responsible, would you be okay with that? Would you go so far as be willing to call him God, and live in his new world? And if you had that same power, would you do it, too?
Regardless of whatever you believe the to be answer, it's a very interesting question, and one that has great arguments for, and against it, and one that AoT doesn't even come close to matching.
