How will Eren be stopped?

Also if Isayama makes some random farmer the father of Historia's child I'll laugh
That seems to be the case, since Historia hooked up with a guy she knew as a kid who used to pick on her.

However, since he tells her she should “take better care of her body”, it’s possible this is a red herring and that Historia fucked someone else while she was with him. A lot of people think Eren is the father. Either way, it’s stupid.

I was debating on that, but then I remembered that for as stupid as Bleach got, it never completely switched genres like AoT has. It never tried to be something that it clearly wasn't supposed to be.
Yeah I was about to say Bleach too until I thought about it. Bleach never tried anything on this level of nonsense, it just went to shit as Kubo got progressively more bored with the project until his publisher told him mid story arc he had three volumes to wrap the whole thing up.

Super eyepatch wolf actually has a pretty good video on the fall of Bleach, where he lays out why Bleach was fucked from the start.

Tomorrow's episode is going to be such a fucking tease. It's going to be 90% talking, 9% fumbling around in the basement, and 1% of actually showing what Grisha hid in there.

There's no better part that shows how painfully the slow the pacing of AoT is. After years of waiting, the basement is finally within reach with zero obstacles in the way. And thta means it's the perfect time to delay it with more talking, which should've been saved for after the basement. The consequences of the world's worst tactician dying, most of which was brought up in the last chapter anyways, and Armin's reaction can we wait, we haven't been waiting years to see that.

Not only is the pacing slow, it's also redundant, since we get two more talks about letting Erwin die right after the basment as well.

The consequences of the world's worst tactician dying,
Wait, so I'm not the only one who thought that Erwin was a terrible commander?

Also random question, but was the Court Room Scene his plan, or Levi's? I genuinely do not remember. All I know is that it's still one of the dumbest things I've ever seen in my entire life.

The amount of people I see calling Erwin an amazing tactician baffles me. Nearly every single battle plan of his either failed miserably or barely succeeded, and always depleted the ranks.

He showed his incredible incompetence with his attempt at capturing Annie. It failed miserably and killed the majority of the scouts, including all of their most skilled soldiers except for Levi and Miche, who is supposed to be even better then Mikasa but ended up dying the most idiotic and preventable death in the whole series. All they had to do was have Levi and his team rip her out of her titan, Levi even had a plan to do the same with Eren, and bring her back with them.

Instead he places a bunch of harpoon guns around a single area, bets it all on an easily missed shot, wastes dozens of skilled soldiers so they can bait her into the trap, and it all fails because they never counted on the possibility of shifters being able to command mindless titans, which was pretty plausible. Trying to capture her alive in the first place was retarded anyways, since shifters can form a new titan as long as they have an open wound, even when they have all their limbs cut off.

Or they can't, it depends on whether or not Isayama remembers that Eren was missing an arm and a leg when he first transformed.

No, that was Ymir who was in love with Historia.

I think the only plan that succeeded for him without killing tons of people (not including the incredibly stupid court room one, if it was his idea, which could've and in all honesty, should've gotten people killed) was when he lead a bunch of titans to swarm, and save Eren. It did cost him an arm, but at least it didn't waste lives. At least not that I remember.

I think the transformation just takes practice to make it happen most of the time, and even then, there's sometimes where it just doesn't work.

Yes, yes they are, and the main villains in this series are basically Nazis in everything except name.
Wait I thought the Titans were the main villains hence (Attack on Titan) lol how did this series turn 180° from what I remember it was just sheltered in people fighting ugly cg creatures that run like idiots.

That's what we've been trying to figure out.

Given light of the series' current events, and upon learning of Isayama's more disturbing, and incredibly disgusting habits, I'm starting to think that he is genuinely mentally ill. I mean, he was probably a huge autist, but that wouldn't explain why the series has taken such a sharp, drastic, and downright mindboggling turn. Upon looking at everything together, I wouldn't be surprised if all of this was the result of him going off his meds, or having a huge mental breakdown. Maybe both.

It would just explain so much.

That one still cost them a lot of lives, which could've been prevented had he not benched Levi over a sprained ankle. Mikasa and the other 104th cadets along with Hannes were able to catch up with Reiner on horseback, so swarming Reiner with titans was pointless when they could've just done a pincer attack with more scouts then Reiner could've handled. Or just Levi.

So here's something I've been wondering for a while.

Has any anime, any mainstream anime, gone off the rails this hard before? At least in recent times? The only one I can kinda think of is Darling in the Franxx, but not even that compares to the absolute batshittery that AoT has devolved into.
There was this slice of life cleaning manga staring so shrimpy dude who was super clean freak and the GAL girl who was a slob whose last few chapters involved a flashback of the newly introduced student council President being sexually assaulted and possibly raped.

Make me clean again!

Actually...Yes. Theres one other title that went this batshit insane a long time ago...Gantz. Holy fuck did it get weird. The story went into directions and seemed to forget about them, like the stupid vampires story arc. The Vampires were interesting antagonists and made a good impact as a threat. Then they just kind of go away and we never hear about them again.

Then Gantz goes full alien invasion where just about everything becomes meaningless due to the war between the aliens and the Gants warriors all over the world and how on the planet the giant evil aliens come from humans are food or pets.

Then Gantz is about killing the giant evil aliens who tried to invade earth but failed and you find out theres alternate timelines, God is an alien, both Kurono's are kind of wanky but can still do their job.

The it just suddenly ends after all kinds of insane shit with almost no resolution.

You know, I think this is as close as we're going to get, at least when it comes to anime examples. I remember trying to watch Gantz at one point, only to immediately drop it after the Butter Dog scene. Upon reading your summary, I'm even more glad that I stopped. It sounds like a fucking fever dream.

Oddly, the one example I recently thought of that actually hits all the requirements is not even an anime. It's the show Riverdale.
