Haha, yeah, I really wasn't. There's also the fact that people treat this dumbfuck as some sort of genius. Isayma is a terrible hack who forced Gabi on his readers constantly even when they refused to accept her.

Isamaya had a really splendid first....what, 45 chapters? His first major story arc ending with Annie as the evil titan and her turning into an icecube was and is still pretty solid and has a lot of really shocking and interesting moments that set it apart from a lot of other manga at the time.

Well written, well drawn,. well thought out...then...Pbbbth! Started to get dumber as the story and world grew larger. I'll defend the guys first major story arc because its pretty solid, but beyond that, Nope!

Gabi is easily the most insufferable character. It's obvious Isayama is going to keep her alive because he loves the little shit.

Honestly Gabi is just a meh character, and I get what Isayama's trying to do with her but it feels redundant with Falco and some of the Titan Shifters like Annie that are already in the walls.

Also Attack on Titan is good but it's not some masterpiece or a disaster and the dumbfucks who worship Isayama as some writing god clearly have not read or watched much manga or anime.

You know, if AoT went off the rails the same way Jojo did, it would still at least be fun. It would still be stupid, and make no fucking sense, but it would at least be an enjoyable kind of stupid, and would still be entertaining. Not the boring, frustrating, overly-complex, smarter-than-thou trite that it is now.

Well, the problem is that JoJo intentionally goes off the rails and this problem is mitigated (somewhat) by the anime as the Stand fights in the manga can get enjoyable. Some people act like Jojo wants to stay on rails. Jojo needs no rails. But yes, if it stopped treating itself so seriously and just went absolutely balls-out batshit it might be fun. Or it might be Jojo part 6 in that 'What the fuck just happened' and then the series is over. Jojo walks a very fine line, I don't think AoT could handle it.

I've been trying to think of ways AoT could've gone off the rails like Jojo, and not have turned into a complete trainwreck, and the only thing I could think of was something like TFS's incredibly short-lived abridged version of it.

For those that don't know, TFS released exactly one episode of AoT Abridged before being immediately copyrighted, then threatened with legal action by someone if they didn't comply, (it was confirmed not to be Funimation, and was most likely one of the Japanese distributors) and they were pretty much forced to cancel the series. Curiously, episode one is still up on YouTube, albeit under a different account. Here it is.

This got me thinking. Let's say the series did not get copyrighted into oblivion, and continued without any further legal issues. Knowing how the original series turns out, how do you guys think TFS would've handled it? How do you think they would've handled the KoM and the like? I'll say this, if there's one team that can make Nazis funny, it's them.

That's a good question I can't really think of anyway to play it without just indulging in how dumb it really is.

if you're still interested in a AoT abridged series there is one that didn't get copyrighted for some reason.

I think the reason that didn't get copyrighted is that TFS is more known to Japanese production companies. For instance, Toei has fucked over jobs for the crew at TFS when Funimation hired some of them as VAs and threatened to end the contract for Dragon Ball if the TFS crew stayed at Funimation which Funimation of course complied to.

That would make sense especially with TFS trying to go legit and become an actual dubbing studio. Which will be interesting since they'll the YouTube channel I know of transition to a real business.

All this talk of AoT reminded me of this series.

Teamfagstar is supported by funimation, wouldn't consider supporting them...Not to mention an online voice actress I used to know turned into a BLM retard(she was from Seattle too) joined up with them.

watching this latest episode I got reminded that I'd have liked Eren to try to explain to everyone in that room what exactly he saw and whats the deal in the world. Of course it couldn't work because grisha did just that with his books. But I imagine Eren sitting there saying something like this:

of course AoT takes itself to seriously to turn the plot twist into a joke

I haven't even been watching it lately. My Friday is JoJo day and Saturday is Demon Slayer, and I can't be bothered to watch anymore of this dour, taking itself too seriously crap. How did the basement reveal and world reveal go? Exactly like in the manga?

It went the same way pretty much though they added a cameo of a character who'd appear in the manga later and shortened Ymir's backstory considering it was revealed in Season 2. Also they cut some lines of dialogue from the manga.

I don't have that good of a memory of that part of the manga so if I missed anything or got anything wrong, correct me.
