Yeah, that's the route I'd take with it because my style isn't batshit. Doing something like Jojo insanity right requires a different brain (and a lot more weed and LSD) than I am capable of. My writing style is mostly set. And I'm always open to trying new things and testing my limits, this wouldn't be the story appropriate for that.
Do you have any finished material that I'd like to know off?

My friend who's anime only recently said fuck it and she's hopping onto read the last two chapters.
I cannot WAIT to see her reaction to this shit show going on, especially the whole Eren and Mikasa shit. :story:

Doing that is like shifting gears too fast on a manual transmission while driving off a cliff. Your friend needs to reconsider.

Super late to the party and I want to be shocked by this with the rest of you, but after letting it ruminate in my head a bit it just felt like he read too much Morihiro Kitoh, not Game of Thrones. That was the first thing I thought of when I saw the last page.

Then I decided I liked it anyways. I can't even question Mikasa doing that it just felt right you know? It's perfectly wtf and I can buy her doing it as the person she is and with the emotions she's feeling at that moment. Don't hate Eren either, I liked seeing him all depressed and shit in that other timeline (I think that's what it was?). I liked that conversation they had. I have similar feelings to Naru Taru by Kitoh about the second half and the ending, though I was much less enthused with Naru Taru's second half than AOT's, and Naru Taru's ending was better and more surreal. Up till then there was so much pointless meandering bullshit and nihilistic edgelordery that I couldn't even stomach after the part season 1 covers, but when it was finally over, I was glad I read it ( I recommend just reading that first half though, or watching the anime that op is a fucking classic. Only go further if you're curious). If the next chapter isn't complete bullshit like @Truthboi has so terrifyingly predicted, I think I can go out of this saying the same here, though even then it won't be as good. I have to wonder what people are going to think of this reading it as a complete series in the future.

Also you ALL forgot that the high school AU exists in Eren's path memories. It's as real as Mikasa's vision at least, that's going to be the good timeline. And the last page of it comes out with the last volume directly after the last chapter. I swear to god this is how it's gonna end.

Also birds.

Hold on, I'm hacking all of Isayama's computers and streaming accounts....

OH MY GOD HE'S WATCHING THE NEWHART SHOW! ABORT ABORT ABORT

For those that don't know the reference:
The entire town is purchased by a visiting Japanese tycoon, who turns the hamlet into an enormous golf course and recreation resort. Dick and Joanna are the only townspeople who refuse to leave. The others accept million-dollar payoffs and leave in a farewell scene that parodies Fiddler on the Roof.

Five years later, Dick and Joanna continue to run the Stratford Inn, which is now located in the middle of the golf course. The other townspeople, now richer and older, unexpectedly return for a reunion. The Darryl brothers also speak for the first time on screen, loudly yelling "Quiet!" at their wives in unison. Dick gets frustrated with the increasingly chaotic scene, and storms out shouting "You're all crazy!", only to be knocked out by an errantly struck golf ball.

The setting of the last scene is nighttime, in the bedroom of Dr. Bob Hartley (The Bob Newhart Show) and his wife Emily (Suzanne Pleshette). Bob awakens, upset, and he wakes Emily to tell her about the very strange dream he has just had: that he was an innkeeper in a small Vermont town filled with eccentric characters and married to a beautiful blonde. Emily (slightly upset about hearing Bob's dream dalliance with "a beautiful blonde") tells him "that settles it—no more Japanese food before bed."

It's the best AND worst part hands down.
Like, Attack on Titan worst (serious worse) or Attack on Titan best worst (right now)?
Before this chapter, I disagreed with you lads. Now I don't, cause I have no idea what's happening and it seems rushed as fuck. Timeskips, man. Fucking timeskips.
Timeskips are always trash.
See you in another 10 years then because jojolion just entered another d4c tier lenght arc

Very true. By the by, the last subtitle for this thread for the last year or so was a JoJo reference:

Seriously. Try to get her to read from the Attack on Paradis onward. This is why:

>Attack on Paradis

Wow this is cra-

>OH! THAT'S A BASEBALL!!

"ITS STILL GOOD ITS STILL GOOD"

>We can't be killed if I kill everyone.

"ITS STILL GOOD, ITS STILL GOOD"

>Cringe Avengers RISE UP

"ITS STILL GOOD ITS STILL GOOD"

>Reiner naked wrestling a prehistoric worm, Mikasa going full Ed Gein, delusional psychotic, kills Eren and makes out with his headless corpse while God smiles lovingly

"ITS STILL GOOD, ITS STILL-"

"Its gone."

"I know...."

You need to drink that shit in like a fine vintage wine. If you don't get to watch her gradual descent into delusion and madness, it isn't worth it.

Do you have any finished material that I'd like to know off?
Any accounts to fiction websites would be an insta-dox on me. So the only real thing is going here would be my retarded SCP ideas I wrote to demonstrate how simple they were to write:

If I post older stuff, you can google it and find out my account names. I didn't exactly forsee myself modding a forum like this lol.

EDIT:
Besides that are my mini-essays on fiction here and in the SCP thread. I think I have another highlight there besides my idea. And the subverting expectations thread, which is another essay.

Some Eren/rumbling fans are down to the final consciousness transfer cope. :story:

Tbf it would be reasonable to expect the consciousness transfer thing to come up again, if it wasn't for the fact that Isayama has stopped caring and just wants to wrap this shit up. The same way that the Warhammer remote control thing is used once and then never brought up again.

There are no rules to what Isayama writes. The only thing I know about the last chapter is it will be 40 or 45 pages, it'll be longer, so basically it'll be like 139 and 140 together.

EDIT:
As to what will be in it? My hypothesis is Deus Ex Machina, but it could be fucking Eren having a fever dream and nearly dying in AoT Junior High and that was the main timeline all along. So who in the fuck knows.

This, this shit right here, is why I adore this thread. We went from a horror story, to Isayama’s version of Game of Thrones, to “death by pig freedom”, and finally to incestual corpsesmooching of her not-brother’s decapitated head because she couldn’t hop on Eren’s dick quick enough, dooming him to dying as a virgin with rage.

It’s so fucking beautiful.
Next chapter is a literal Deus Ex Machina where Ymir kills all the titans (and leaving few named character survivors), or reverts all the recent titans back into humans.

No matter what happens it's clear the final chapter is going to likely be a Deus Ex Machina.
It is 100% going to be a Deus Ex Machina by Ymir. I mean, literally. Its going to be like, "I finally understand human emotion." And then everything is just going to reset...and its reveals that this was Eren's plan. To get killed by Mikasa who then mouth kisses him to show Ymir the lengths of human love.

Everything was....JUST AS PLANNED. In the most retarded pan possibly in any commercial fiction ever put from pen to paper. Literally the only way to save the manga is to go Jojo part six and retcon the entire fucking story. Motherfucker needs to read his Jojo. If Isayama read Jojo instead of Game of Thrones and Western faggot garbage, this manga would be amazing.
I mean at that point, he wouldn’t just be doing a JoJo, he’d just wholesale be ripping off plot points from fucking Homestuck. And even having read through this time and time again, I still don’t understand how this manga, this manga, was somehow get into a situation where that scenario was even possible, however unintentionally.
“Oh right of course the Homestuck avi would bring that shit comic up” but hear me out.

Everything about this chapter, from Mikasa talking to a dream version of Eren, to Isayama’s self-insert who acts as God in this universe watching on with glee, to - and I cannot stress this enough - the literal shot of her kissing her kinda-sorta-not-brother’s decapitated head being used as a way to confess her feelings to him in a life-or-death situation, while Isayama is simultaneously killing off nearly the entire main cast to the point that he wrote himself into a corner and has to pull a timeline retcon to have any chance at ending his story in a “good” way (JoJo at least had the dignity to start off with a new cast after the reset. Isayama doesn’t have that luxury, he is stuck with these characters unless he does something even MORE stupid in the last chapter): like he’s straight-up just ripping shots and panels from it, without likely even knowing what the fuck the story he’s ripping off even is.

I know for a fact all that is 100% unintentional, but I swear: if he actually goes through reverting and/or reviving everyone through Mikasa’s kiss like some reverse fuckin’ Sleeping Beauty bullshit in order to make her dream life real, and these predictions become reality: I’m going to laugh my ass off.

Because then we will have crossed the event horizon and it will mean Isayama is somehow more of a hack that some 40 year old bum from Massachusetts. And I am all for it.

I hope the last chapter is just a Newgrounds url and it's ten minutes of PNGs tweened around in flash 8. Then Attack on Titan 2 is written by Levi fujos.

Like, Attack on Titan worst (serious worse) or Attack on Titan best worst (right now)?
My opinions change wildly every few months but no it's not that bad, but it's still really really good. I think the main issue is that it's frustrating how much you have to wait for things to happen, it seems like the story is a clusterfuck or a drag for months and then the next chapter goes "oh okay then". Except when it isn't. The pacing can be funky reading it month to month. Then another chapter comes out and it's thirty pages of Josuke walking three feet after a year of sitting in a chair. The art dropped in quality after the initial volumes where it still looked as good as Steel Ball Run. You get used to it because his designs and paneling are still great, but his art peaked so hard in 7 that it can't not be disappointing. Also Josuke's stand power disappears like Giorno's slow pain ability did, except Josuke's plunder ability was the ENTIRE point of his stand and he keeps it for more than two fights. Granted Josuke does some clever stuff with the weaker retconned ability.

On the other hand all the plot points I thought he gave up on have come back over the last couple years and things are all coming together. Most Jojo seems to be written by the seat of his pants to some extent, but he's actually trying to plan out a larger mystery story here, and the mysteries that WERE solved were cool and satisfying. He's just gotta stick the landing for the rest of it. He's had part 8 and 9 planned out to some extent since the end of part 7 apparently, I'm hopeful that he will. And god DAMN some of these stand battles are the absolute best in the series. You can feel how long he's spent honing his craft. Vitamin C is my favorite non-final arc in all of Jojo, and probably the most horrifying example of body horror in the series. That goldfish scene man... they can't even censor it for the broadcast version because it technically isn't traditional gore.

Read it when it's over, or when the current arc is over. God knows when that's gonna be, we only just ended the world's longest running game of "the floor is lava". It's probably not the final fight either. I have a feeling Jojolion will be a good completed product though.

It's very late criticism (and I've only seen 1.5 of the anime seasons), but one thing I really don't like in AoT is that "Japanese super soldier" shit with Mikasa and Levi, maybe more than having the series degenerate into titan vs. titan battles. It's just... what's the point in having multiple squads when one person can do everything better?

I imagine that People felt the same during many of the slow parts of Jojo, Imagine being a reader when Part 4 was ongoing and the alien thing happened.

The only time Timeskips have worked out has been like, Dragonball, and even then that's debatable. Maybe Naruto? Most likely of all though is One Piece, though I have purely second hand knowledge on that whole series. So yeah, unless you're one of the absolute biggest Shonen Mangas, your Timeskip is 99% likely to be trash.

Don’t forget the earlier running game of “don’t let the blood touch you”. That dragged on for seven months and it got resolved with a shovel to the back of the head. Ignored the story for quite a while after that
