Actually its the exact opposite. The Japanese are FAR more skittish about gore than sex, unlike America. They are actually really similar to Europe in that regard. Take the Resident Evil games for instance; pretty much all of the games have been censored in some form or fashion in Japan, usually removing decapitation, compared to America, which gets the games uncensored. The Japanese have far fewer problems with sexual content. Its why you can find ecchi content in Shonen series like Food Wars, despite those manga being, ostensibly, targeted at children.

And all this talk about how stupid the whole genocide plan has got me thinking; there is a very easy answer to this problem. The people of Paradis could have just told the world the full truth. Marley's relaying of events to world's leaders was a self-serving explanation of events. Imagine if, instead of turning into a Titan, Eren walks on stage while the assembled leaders of the world are watching, using threats to get Reiner to escort him there, and Eren tells all the world's leaders:

"Yeah, you know that whole story about the founder king is cute and all, but there is one thing our blonde haired noble here is neglecting to tell you; four years ago, Marley set there titans to Paradis to take the Founder Titan for themselves so that they COULD SUBJUGATE ALL OF YOU! They desired the Founder because your anti-titan weaponry was making their Titans obsolete, so they wanted the Founder themselves to ensure their continued military superiority. So ask yourselves, whose the real enemy to peace? The Eldians of Paradis who have literally done nothing to you for the last 200 years, or Marley, who have used their titans as weapons of war against all of you and would gladly conquer you all. If you decide the latter, then I humbly offer the hand of Paradis in friendship; we have something in common. And I assure you; we have no intention of using the titans that we have fought for 200 years as weapons against you like Marley has done."

Isayama basically wrote them as having brain parasites where absolutely nothing Paradis said would have worked. Its like, they would have been beaten and sent to camps before they could have uttered one word. They're no joke, fucking racist zombies that have absolutely no understanding. That's why people were for the genocide, because Marley and the rest of the world don't act like real fucking people.

All of them are for torturing this single island in perpetuity because they lost a war TWO CENTURIES AGO. Everyone from it is dead. Everyone who caused it is dead. And what, you're constantly poking them with a stick and torturing them and then you're UTTERLY SHOCKED when they decide to stamp you out of existence because your brain parasites cause you to torture them in perpetuity? Yeah, you're not real people.

You know, in history, exile or death, when you get exiled, you're pretty much done. They don't come after you. They don't constantly poke at you or torture you because you're gone. But the entire world apparently thinking that constantly provoking a world ruling empire they've beaten into submission is the best idea ever and that no one would get tired of their shit and fuck them into the dirt.

Is full genocide stupid? Sure. But obliterating all of their technology, killing their leaders, destroying their universities and infrastructure, blowing up all military technology (or just stealing it for yourself) is an option. If you send them back to the stone age, they'll be too busy trying to get food rather than torture you. And like I said, by the time they get their shit together to come after you, you'll be shooting their zeppelins down with laser cannons.

But Isayama wanted genocide so he does it. Isayama wanted the world to be consumed by brain eating racist parasites where nothing will change their mind except total extermination. The whole fucking thing is idiotic.

Just going off a clip I saw on youtube since apparently the full release got interrupted by an earthquake or something, but man the Levi vs Zeke 2 fight looks really rough. Especially when you compare it to how great the first fight looked, it's such a massive drop in quality. Also there seems to be some kind of weird Engrish rap playing in the background so the whole thing feels like I'm watching a crappy AMV. Eren mind-breaking Mikasa and casually beating the shit out of Armin is every bit as hilarious as it was in the manga though, so credit to them for that.
