I think he's upset about how he burned so many bridges with people on the forum by being rude. We're the closest things to friends that he's ever going to have, and deep down, he knows it.

I find that extremely unlikely.

I assume the "lost friends" he's referring to are people from high school who he's spent the last greater-than-a-decade thinking were still his friends, despite having no contact with them all that time. They've probably not added him as friends or just don't have Facebook accounts in the first place, so he see's them as lost even though they were never friends in the first place.

Remember, Chris lives in the past; to him, this is like coming back to school after the summer break and his friends either ignoring him or just plain disappearing altogether. He can't even begin to comprehend the gulf between him and these people who have all moved on with their lives and for all intents and purposes are strangers.

he has no concept of how other people's lives work or why said live do not revolve around the same ideas his does.

Joking aside, I wonder if he will ever realize that he has burned bridges with the classmates who could have actually been his friends by being creepy and hateful all the time.

From the sounds of that, he's not going to live past 40. By 35 at this rate, he's going to start feeling more of that if not worse. Just saying.

I remember Chris saying something about "heart pains" in the past and we didn't know if that meant literal pain or he was just lonely.

I don't know how Chris would know he has high blood pressure. He doesn't strike me as someone who knows how to take his own blood pressure, he wouldn't get an automatic blood pressure cuff because he'd have to spend his tugboat on it.

We all knew Barb needed to get to a doctor stat, now Chris needs to see the doctor badly as well. Their unhealthy lifestyle is starting to catch up to them.

It tickles me that he said stopping to catch his breath is even expected of the best runner. Im pretty sure Usain Bolt can run a few feet without heaving over to catch his breath

People point out sometimes that he is mentally a child, but honestly, children learn way better than he does. You show a child negative consequences to their behavior enough, they will begin to adapt, even if it's only to avoid the consequences rather than out of any morality.

I've always equated Chris's mind to a drunken child. Simple minded and naive, but also lacking any continuity or simple rationality.

I just hope OPL goes to the doctor and gets it treated. He'd when he finds out he needs to eat better and exercise, but it's for the best.

Of course, Chris being the responsible and rational man he is, he won't follow the advice of a medical expert.
