I thought that he would most likely be going back to a home...probably a different one than Gateway as he would be a convicted sex pest as Gateway does not accept the latter and I think the only reason they took Chris was because he had not been officially convicted yet.

He can plea guilty to theft and abuse of an incapacitated elder, but the incest charge is going to get him barred from most group homes. Yeah he’s not a danger to anyone but Barb, but the sex offender label won’t specify that.

Chris won't be registering nor on parole, a felony incest charge's first offense doesn't require it. I believe probation is possible.
