BMJ really reminds me of the 11'8" website/YouTube channel. Virtually every video there is the same: a large vehicle that does not have clearance gets its top ripped off while trying to drive under this low clearance bridge. Despite its repetition, it amuses me to no end. I consider that and BMJ to be good breaks from all the talk of politics that has permeated through online spaces and the general franticness of day-to-day life; they're something fun and goofy that literally anyone from any walk of life can laugh at.

I was so disappointed when the railroad finally decided to raise that trestle to raise the clearance height (trucks weren't hitting the actual "bridge," but rather the massive reinforced steel {max clearance 11'8"} barriers on either side of it that protected the ancient trestle). They'd dragged their feet for so damned long because of cost and the need to close the busy line during the procedure, but I guess after a few close calls (the clearance guard wasn't foolproof) they finally decided it was better to fix it than to wait for disaster.
