Difference is that the three older sisters started at 30,
And that’s still so so young. At 30 if you’re not baking pale skin in the sun you still look young as long as you’re not a drug addled mess. Plus the kardashians have more olive skin so they shouldn’t even have that problem. Fillers are a terrible idea.
I’m solidly middle aged, I’m no great beauty, and yet a lot of these girls look older than me and the women my age I see day to day who har nothing done, and just look like dishevelled mums. It’s really peculiar. Twenty somethings looking like fifty somethings.

Maybe it's the new beauty standard. Twenty-somethings are angling for that 45-year-old wine aunt look or bitchy yet effective receptionists called Brenda with two divorces and a solid employment history.

I’ve noticed this. It feels like zoomers are aging really poorly. You’d think with all the not drinking, not baking in the sun, not smoking, etc they do, that they would look amazing. And yet.

I do have to wonder if maybe it is the long term use of psychiatric medication they’re all on, or the yo-yoing weight. Or the pollution. Or what.

But it’s not just me, there’s actual scientific evidence (measured by numbers of mutations in the cells) that people are aging faster than ever.

It's obviously the huge amount of microplastics in their bodies without the childhood & adolescent exposure to asbestos, lead from paint & petrol, and CFCs to protect them.

They may not drink as much as older generations, but a lot of them take ketamine, xanax, etc. How many of them exercise and eat properly? Stress is also a huge factor in aging.

Don’t underestimate what screen time overload will do, it’s shown to affect vision, sleep and stress. We’re not suppose to focus at close range for hours on end. The pupils stay in a constant state of dilation, which tells the body to enter fight or flight mode. When school, work, social lives and entertainment all centre on the screen, it’s bound to have an effect. The amount of Gen Z that have anxiety issues for whatever reason is stress by another name. Then there’s isolation, a known cause of aging and supposed to be worse than smoking.

However, I don’t agree that all of them look like they’ve aged worse than other generations, a lot of them look their age, and others have shitty makeup styles that aren’t doing them any favours. A lot of millennials in the public eye aren’t looking so hot either. It’s just what happens to some people based on a combination of genetics and environment.

In agreement across the board for stressors, etc., and bringing it 'round to the thread topic they've got all that going on and then also get procedures done which were once reserved for, or even designed for (fillers), older people

The younger generation has been sold on getting preventative cosmetic work, e.g. preventative botox to stop the formation of wrinkles from ever occurring in the first place. They are told this is the true secret to avoid "premature aging", but all it does is make them look exactly like an older woman with work done.

Probably the ubiquitous radio waves being emitted by everything, the shitty food we eat, the millions of pills and the fact that our lives are so sedentary.

Yeah fair point. I guess I was (as a younger millennial) told that if I avoided the sun and excess smoking/booze, I’d remain young forever. I still look pretty alright (if I do say so myself), but looking at people my age and younger who have followed all the same advice, it definitely seems like there’s been a lot of overpromising and it’s still genetics as much as anything else.

I feel like the same thing happened with intelligence. Study hard, play baby Mozart while in the womb, give your kids fish oil, blahblahblah. But no matter what, everything is just genetics anyway.

“if you want to know how a woman will look in 30 years, look at her mom” is tried and true. Oh well, I suppose my mom is pretty alright.

Frankly, anytime I look at old TV series from the 70's and forward I think people look fine until I find out how old they actually were when it was recorded.
People in their 30s looked like 50, men were bald by the age of 20.

So, no I don't think people age worse now, it's mostly a matter of style now and then.
Less is almost always going to be more in terms of makeup and flamboyant clothes will also age you unless you find a style that really works for you.
Simple makeup, simple hair and a classical sense of dress with well tailored clothes will let you age gracefully.

Let's not forget Sephora kids. Grade school students are making "skincare smoothies" with whatever random products they have on hand and using chemicals way too harsh for their skin. I'm not particularly well versed in this area, but that must have some nasty effects down the line.

Most women (and prob men too) are delusional about how old they look. I know women IRL who have commented that they look sooooo much younger than kylie jenner or whoever and I’m like 😶

Millennials are the fucking worst about this. They expect your head to explode ie Scanners when they reveal that they’re middle aged.

I briefly dated a woman who said "oh, I always get carded" and I had to bite my tongue to keep myself from saying "why?".
