Filler really sounds like the stuff of demons. I watch a lot of dermatologists on YouTube as I very much prioritise taking care of my skin, but I do get suspicious of how much they push for fillers and other procedures while glossing over potential risks or other alternatives. Having to dissolve your own innate hyaluronic acid in case of filler migration and inadvertently aging yourself further highlights what a particularly nasty Faustian bargain fillers are.

In case any Kiwi is tempted to get lip filler, here's an example I stole from Reddit of a woman who got Platelet Rich Fibrin (a max of her own plasma and blood) injected into her lips.

Also came across a completely botched breast reduction today.

She went from having perfectly self-supporting and aesthetically pleasing breasts to the 😳 emoji. She'll likely never be able to breastfeed her kids as a result, which puts her at higher risk for breast cancers and more deleterious menopause symptoms. The surgeon who mutilated perfectly healthy breast tissue should be shot imo.

* breast lift
This may shock you, but large breasts are not immune to gravity.
I get the appeal of a breast lift if you have particularly saggy breasts, but if you don't, they just look weird if you're not wearing a supportive garment. I could be totally off base here, but "breast lift" is the first thing that came to mind when I saw this:

From the looks of it, she's just wearing a bikini top and the way her breasts are laying looks unnatural. This is a single cover, so it's obviously heavily edited, but her breasts are so high up and it just looks off.

I’ve seen a lot of people get them and have a great effect, so idk.

I agree with you about Demi, it looks a bit uncanny. I think mastopexy looks best when someone has had either a zillion children or a tuberous breast deformity. I don’t think most women really need it, just like most women don’t need a nose job.

Also agree with @The Crescent King about large boobs. They get pulled downwards and don’t magically float in the air.

I think boob shape, rather like ass shape, is such a subject thing with respect to preferences and beauty standards. If they’re healthy and you haven’t had cancer, massive weight loss, breastfed a zillion children, or tuberous breast deformity… best leave em alone.

Of course that’s true about pretty much all plastic surgery and life in general. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it

I remember seeing a TikTok from Dr. Roxie, the plastic surgeon who livestreamed surgeries, going around to all of her female staff and doing the "pencil test" to determine whether they needed a breast lift or not. This test is meant to determine if you'd benefit from wearing a bra.

Ouch
I’m genuinely shocked that these are considered “self-supporting” and “not sagging” breasts. You could fit appetizer plates under them.
They’re fine - I mean they’re not small and perky or perfect, but she’s not slim. They’re completely normal, for want of a better word, for bigger breasts, and proportional for her size and shape.
She’d have been better losing weight first, they now look totally disproportionate to her body. That’s kind of sad.

I saw a before/1 month after shot of someone who looked normal and got that stupid fox eye lift on tiktok yesterday and should have capped it, it was so bad.
Post was from the doctor, claiming she looked youthful and energetic now...

The Algorithm took it upon itself to serve me up this bogged….. human? Yeah let’s go with that.

If the teenie weenie peenie poking through the front of these bodysuits confuses you, same! Turns out he is a Thai ladyboy who might actually look like Samuel L. Jackson without the filters
IMG_9564.jpeg

To be fair, he does seem like a guy who doesn’t take himself too seriously and is just doing his sexwork thing for the most part. His eggplant instagram highlight takes you to a video and Linktr.ee with two options: OnlyFans and Fansly. Colour me surprised. I did not venture any further than that to see this person naked because I’ve been through enough this past week.

IG | A (archive isn’t working reliably someone handhold me please)

Our fake king loves his filters, and makes no effort to hide it, so rest assured his legs aren’t quite as atrophied and emaciated as many of his photos may suggest. I archived this video because it says far more than I ever could:

The probable cumstain on the front of his dress is an especially nice touch

Another fun thing is he and his ladyboy friends all like to hang out together, so you often get either some good laughs or straight-up jumpscares from the people milling around in the background of most of his content

I’ll leave you with this last video which will either make you either snicker over the tired joke, or consider this guy is making light of rape via deception

His voice sounds kinda weird in his interview as well. Maybe he's on drugs?

Dude froze his face now he can't do the expressions he's known for.
Oh my fucking god, didn't even register with me that it was Carrey. I was like "Is this a...Kurt Russel on a bad day or something?"

Feels like I should slap myself for that.
As someone who grew up watching movies like Bruce Almighty at daycare (maybe not the most appropriate thing to show a bunch of 6yo children), this is just sad. His most iconic roles were so expressive and full of life. Jim Carrey just isn't Jim Carrey if he can't be loud and expressive.
Good lord, imagine if they wanted to do a shitty modern sequel to Jesse Ventura! Starring Jim Carrey!

Ah, it'd be madness.
What baffles me is that, despite the plethora of terrible after photos available online, they keep getting this done. Hell, the gossip rags at every grocery store checkout have those pictures. I can understand someone getting srs because the trans community sugar coats it and jingles keys to draw their attention away from seeing the after photos, but you see examples of filler gone wrong everywhere.
Body Dysmophia. Gets your name in the tabloids.
That middle pic is a filter, she never looked like that.

This is a man in drag you cannot tell me otherwise
Didn't know Eddie Redmayne had a twin brother trying to cosplay Warhol.

Edit: my wrestling showed up again. It's ACE Ventura, not Jesse

I have seen multiple comments on Reddit and Instagram from plasticsurgeons/nurses about what they are finding in face lift surgeries.

Old filler that didn't dissolve. There are several MRI's that show it as well.

That stuff they are using to dissolve it off label. Also can dissolve other stuff like natural face tissue from what I have seen commented. Not just the filler.

Then you have the issue of the filler stretching out your skin. Especially, if you keep on getting it done. We all know that you lose elasticity as you age.

Basically, don't fuck with it. Save your coins for a deep plane face lift.

Adding to this, avoid damaging your skin in the first place. Do use tretinoin. Do moisturise. Do use SPF even if you’re mostly indoors, even if it’s cloudy, etc. Do use microneedling. Drop smoking in favour of vapes or zyn or just entirely. Keep your skin in peak condition and you won’t need any surgery until you’re well into your 40s.

Even then, just be old. If you can still see without your eye skin flopping ovr your eyes, you don't need a blepharoplasty. I'd rather look like a wrinkly old ballsack with a face than look like anything ITT. Live an interesting, healthy and productive life and it'll show on your face.

The good news is that most Kiwis and humans don't have a job that requires them to be eternally youthful and beautiful. The bad news is that people like celebrities and even youtubers are caught up in this. There's a much higher chance that Kiwis will look normal in the future since they aren't in a predatory hell of being foced to apperar as the ideal version of someone.
