The main charcter warns her against any further ones, but she ignores her and ends up looking like a skinned alien creature by the end as her skin and face are both super unstable and melt in the shower.

What a coincidence, that's one of maybe three mangas I've ever read and I remember that chapter, the guy was a "2d not 3d" type of person if I remember it right.

Yeah, he was obsessed with girls who looked at least vaguely 2d and ignored the main girl until she had some surgery. Of course, once she took it too far he was completely turned off, kind of like a lot of the people on this thread who get too much surgery and put everyone off wanting to ever look at them again.

Asian girls edit the fuck out of their photos, it's %30 surgery and %70 photo manipulation. A good tell for photo manipulation when you see an outrageous photo of an Asian is their small ass head. Photo manipulation apps are so popular in Asia that they are coming out with ones that work with live video. That don't require user interaction to work, it's all automated. It will add make up and even make a man look like a woman.

Yeah theres this odd thing I found, asia is obsessed with head/face size. Here a girl boasts of her ability to fit her face inside a square of toilet paper. (turn subs on)

I think the small face thing is rooted in traditional Chinese culture where they felt the Han superior to Mongols and other types of Asian due to having less broad-facial features. Feudal Japan's obsession with large foreheads with eyebrows painted high might related to it, the idealisation of small baby-like facial features and the implication of 'delicacy' and cultivation. To an Asian, somebody like Quinton must be the ugliest human in the world.

The pointed jaw obsession is a modern deviance, traditionally depictions of Chinese people (which really form the basis of a lot of early-modern Korean/Japanese culture) with small faces tend to be accompanied by round heads and those seem to have been considered most attractive.
