My understanding of the comment was that there was no surgical intervention, but simply wearing heels long enough that the tendon grows shorter from the constant posture.
I can confirm this. My 86 yr old grandmother has worn kitten heels her entire life. She cannot wear flats comfortably.
I didn't believe it at first so I did quick research.

The high-heel habit can cause fibers in the calf muscle to shorten, and the Achilles tendon, which connects the calf muscle to the bone, to stiffen and become thicker. While this set-up doesn't pose problems when the heel is propped up, it can lead to discomfort when standing or walking around flat-footed because the muscle and tendon are stretched beyond their normal range of movement..

Apparently it's true. I'm sure you could fix it with some stretches/yoga and walking around barefoot in your house but your body does adapt to wearing high heels over time.

I don't know how shorting the Achilles tendon is part of bad plastic surgery when things like this are out there.

Maybe OT, but anyone ever notice that almost ALL these women only ever have, like, ONE very potatoey photo from 40 years ago to show what they looked like before. Not one single solitary clear, un-heavily pixelated photo, and it is only ever ONE photo only?
Jocelyn Wildenstein and that Korean model (she was a MODEL for Chrissakes, why ONE pic??) who injected her face with cooking oil, and now this asian Betty Paige?

Indeed. She had pages and pages of documents calling out her plastic surgeon for supposedly botching her surgery, and it was all as delusional and borderline psychotic as you might expect. Unfortunately, it's all gone down the memory hole since she died.

I just don't understand how people can honestly believe they can transform into anything besides what they are.

You can look drastically better with surgery if you're not dumb and don't get a hack doctor.

How the fuck do women get sucked into this? I understand men, but what about the opposite sex? I don't get it.
It's a combination of things, tbh. Overweight Black women with drawn on eyebrows, artificial hair, fat asses that they can't wash or wipe properly and overly long plastic nails have been pushed as the beauty standard for some time now. Then you've got men rating normal looking girls as being "ugly" or average. White females, even when really attractive, are called "basic." Porn sluts have been pushing the plastic Barbie look for decades. It all adds up into a toxic soup of perverse female beauty standards.

Unless you look like a cartoon or a fat "ethnic" woman, you're not attractive by today's standards.
