Actually, he was being bullied for making her fatter in her swimwear than she was when fully clothed. Like when the Bloaty's Pizza Hog guy gets out of his costume.

AG I think he wrote out ahead of time, but he still wrote characters who spoke and acted like they were in QC. You could absolutely see them hanging out at Coffee of Doom or chatting with Marten, especially now that you have these robot characters who are clearly not human. And the artwork, no interesting panel layouts or camera angles, he just did exactly what he did before.

It's like when Scott Kurtz was talking about changing up PVP and then did exactly the same thing. Kurtz found the current status quo stale and boring because he'd been doing the comic for over a decade, but still wanted to write and draw something like it because that was his comfort zone. But if you want to do something different, you need to do something that's actually different, not just the same thing as before with a new coat of paint.

I'd argue that Alice Grove's problems run deeper, specifically it was to be a deep tale of intellect and morality written by a shallow, retarded hipster who has no internal code of ethics only the one he absorbs from those he wishes to impress.

It is a sad state of affairs when Tim Buckley worked to improce his art and Handstab has just stagnated. Like imagine being worse than Tim B^Uckley.

It was also that you have a character who is constantly saying how fat she is putting on a bikini and being revealed to be exactly how she looks in a t-shirt. Rather than understanding that it was supposed to be Marigold having body issues because of low self-esteem, everyone assumed she actually was a fat girl and got pissy with Jeph, causing him to feel so guilty he relapsed back into alcoholism and stabbed his hand.

David Willis of Shortpacked/Dumbing of Age had a similar problem with Billie being called fat and not actually being fat. And when he did his first porn comic, he got complaints on his tumblr that Dorothy was skinny and should have had some fat rolls. He just used it as an excuse to blame his Christian upbringing for all his faults.

I FEEL like I might be reading too deep into it, but I've actually been getting this vibe from the super curvy naked slime girl robot...thing, that keeps showing up in the comic. The way she's designed and drawn is clearly supposed to be sexy, but the way she's written and treated as pretty much a child in all her appearances just leads to an uncanny clash.

This is another artist/autist whose shitty work gets spammed on /pol/ a lot.
At this point there are so many examples of this that I’m wondering if the spam is coming from one turboautist trying to Personal Army the artists, or a group of people on an organized troll campaign.

There used to be good webcomics but then TDS made KC Green give up on life and suck-start a CPAP machine every night instead of doing work. Like OK fine, he chose drinking instead of trooning but it's not that much better.

His "serious" stuff, while the best-drawn of the faux-hipster shite, absolutely was overrated. His lolrandom work was top shelf. Pouting rats, cat strip club, turd in my pocket, these are single panels and yet evey oldfag that read those words knows what they refer to, because they are awesomely dumb as shit.
HIAGB was delightfully creative as well - that arc with the spider serial killer guy was fucking hilarious.
It really is too bad that the level of maturity and rationality Ronnie Filyaw has, and that we all massively respect, seems to come at the price of "good-looking drawings".

Yeah, I tuned out on webcomics for the most part. His comic was one that always made me mad because it was so lazy, so full of pandering bullshit. And badly, badly drawn. And yet he was somehow a success. Truly, there is no God.

Methinks, that's also why he doesn't particularly care about political coherency, being funny or having a market for his webcomic (let's be honest, who's left reading them bar the people in for the ride?). It's kind of Dave Sim-lite, a scream into the void through the only methods he knows.

No Martin is still fucking a man. The Tranny is losing itself in work and we're soon to get a very important lesson about work/life balance provided Handstand doesn't lose focus for an ICE plotline or stab his hand again.

Sinfest started as a "adult" (read, painfully 2000ies-era teen comedy) version of Calvin&Hobbes. It was essentially a romcom that went full schizo as its author went full schizo around 2014. You can read the posts about him here, it's a fascinating descent.

Also, the new "arc" of Sinfest is, as most Tats thing, a trip. It's a 150+ strips ranting story that started as a parody of Snow White and tries to make the point that all monotheistic religions (and particularly Christianity) are a jewish plot to control the world. And that everything is jews bar traditional gender roles and paganism.

He's going even beyond his old style tranny sperging and jew hate: now the entirety of Christianity is a "cuck religion" built to take down the White Man. RETVRN TO THE GODS OF YOUR ANCESTORS! I mean, it is a hard right-wing position in some places, but it's kind of a niche one, and this is done by a middle-aged Japanese man that went insane thanks to feminism almost a decade ago.

I wonder if we'll ever get a saga about, I dunno, Japanese shintoism. The guy did a Greek and now a Norse arc, everything could happen.
