What a way to wind down into retirement. Ostracised by your whole family with nothing but your hoard and hopelessly autistic son to leech off of until the bucket is kicked. How sad.

Last continuance, she was sighted getting helped into a car she looked less healthy than normal but not in any great detail due to distance to make any real judgement.

Meh. Phil's still among the best Sakura cosplayers I've seen. When was the last time he actually wore clothes specifically designed for women, instead of that combat fatigue getup he's usually photo'd in? I'd say he barely even fits the definition of a transvestite anymore.

The first few dozen photos you see entering "Sakura Cosplay" on Google with the Safe Search on a lone are guaranteed to blow Phil out of the water. Even the fat ones.

Even if you add a "for a dude" qualifier, I'm certain this'd still be the case.

Bob's final years were just as sad, maybe sadder. The hospital quarantining Bob was one hell of a nail in the coffin for him. I can't imagine how awful it was for Bob to be in that hospital, sicker than he ought to be because his family completely refused to care for him or even offer a clean home to be bedridden in. Barb's body is breaking down day by day and it's not unlikely that her end will be just as bad as Bob's was.
 
one of the main things that you can see is that a child grows up into what they implement from their parents and their views upon the world. Since Chris was spoiled and never disiplined; its backfired Barbs teachings of raising a child and still trying to raise one to this day. I do have my thoughts on Chris's parents buts it's what they did In the pass that's made it all come back to bite them in the butt for their mistakes.

Karma exists for a reason

It is interesting how Barb (unlike Bob) has devolved over the years the same as Chris.

Both are worse off and less functional people then they were ten to fifteen years ago.

Based on the pictures of her I've seen when Chris was a child, she looked reasonably healthy and normal, the sort of girl who could be seen going to the bar with her friends and maybe being able to hold a job.

Now.. I take it on faith she is still alive, but we haven't seen too much evidence of that. With each passing year she has become more and more hermit like and sequestered, almost like Gollum from LOTR.

See the part where I said "too much." I conceded that she was alive, just much much more reclusive and sluggish than when she was raising a child Chris.
