So annoyed. Dodgers had a chance to really take control of this series and didn't even bother to show up. Roberts putting in Banda followed by Treinen was him waving the white flag.
 
Tough loss, and one which shifts the momentum back to Toronto. My worst fears once again materialized, where Ohtani's velocity was a tick down and his command was off as well. He did most of his damage with breaking balls and curveballs. Having said that, if your starting pitcher makes it through 6 full innings while only giving up 2 runs then that's about as well-positioned to win a game as you'll ever find.

I don't fault Roberts for sending Ohtani out for the 7th because what choices did they have ? The Dodgers bullpen on most days is absolute dog shit. Banda is a fucking scrub who was a 1 hit wonder last year. Treinen, who I have defended forever and ever (mostly due to his beliefs) just keeps getting slapped around whenever he takes the mound. Everyone else is literally a name and guys like Klein and Sasaki obviously weren't available.

You know what though ? I'm not going to even blame the pitching, because what lost this game for the Dodgers was the motherfucking bats. Sure, you could make the argument that Ohtani should be able to provide his own run support, but's an insane position to take. Even the greatest player of all time isn't going to be able bring it every single night with the bat. That's just the nature of the game.

What the absolute fuck is wrong with these retards and their approach at the plate ? Each and every one of these dumbass niggers were swinging for the fences on some hero ball shit. This is the same principle as pitchers who depend upon hitters to swing at shit way outside of the zone to get outs. The Fluharty at bats in the 6th from Muncy and Edman made me want to throw up.

I don't understand why these idiots can't work counts deep and get the pitch count up...I mean, didn't Ted Williams almost never swing at the first pitch ? Whatever happened to passing the baton, trying to get on base and turning the lineup over as many times as possible ? Mookie is a fucking scrub. Fuck Roberto Clemente, I want this nigger to actually take good at-bats. This piece of shit pops out more times in 1 series than the number of xannies that Ralph takes in a day...it's just embarrassing at this point.

Freeman and Will Smith are the only 2 hitters who reliably even try and take professional at-bats. Ohtani I'll cut some flack because of his legendary performances of late but everyone else can get fucked.

So now it falls to Blake Snell to win what feels like a must-win game for the Dodgers, because I do not see them going into Toronto and winning 2 games back to back.

Life is pain.

That's just the modern game. A couple of years ago when the Phillies made the WS, I wanted to pull my hair out watching them do the same damn thing. It's one of a few reasons I don't go out of my way to watch the MLB anymore.
 
At least Mookie looked to be coming back to life at the end there. Today feels like a must-win for the Dodgers.
 
Is it too early to just fire everyone who has anything to do with the Dodgers ?

I mean, what the actual fuck is going on out there ?

Edit: I can't recall a more apt nickname than "Dookie" Betts. He's so fucking terrible. Can no one in this fucking lineup take grind 'em out at-bats ?

Offensive slump aside the Blue Jays seem to know these pitchers.

ETA: Maybe that’s why Klein did so well; they didn’t study him.
