Hoffman gave up a Grand Slam to give away a winnable game. Blue Jays baseball everyone.

Hoffman needs to go, our entire office and coaching needs to be fired into the sun, hell at this point I'm willing to blame Rogers Center for something. Why do I like this fucking team

Why do I like this fucking team
At least they're not the Mets who just dropped their 11th straight game. One guy going down, even if he's Juan Soto, should not tank a team this hard, but holy shit are they reeling right now. Today's was a really well-pitched game, but the defense somehow decided to stick that finger in their nostril all the way up to the brain in the 9th, and that's all it took.

Fucking dodgers man its so fucking joever

First splitting with Rockies and then losing to the giants? Fire everyone and sell everything and institute a decade long rebuild its the only way to be sure.

Know who you get next? A Cubs team that is currently on a 7-game winning streak and has the reigning NL Player of the Week at second.

When this series started. I told myself I'd be happy if the Cubs just won one game. I am still proud of them for winning last night, but hearing them squander a chance to narrow the lead in the 6th was quite a bummer.

And then got hammered for their troubles in the bottom of the 6th. The Dodgers may be on a bit of a skid, but that doesn't mean they're not still dangerous when you give them chances. Winning streak snapped at 10, but this early in the season, a streak like that vaulted the Cubs from worst to first in the toughest division in baseball. If nothing else, it showed the rest of the league they need to be careful with a team that seems to lose another pitcher to injury every other day.

And the dodgers beat the cubs nice
Yup - Cubs bats decided to go back to sleep after all the work they put in on Friday night. See you assholes again in August, hopefully with pitchers we didn't just sign off the street to fill out the roster.

Alex Cora has been fired.

God is GOOD! :shit-eating:

Now if only John Henry and Fenway Frugal Group would sell the team.
He's a modern day Ozzie Guillen. I don't know why they thought he was manager material to begin with.

Other than the fact that he's a massive fucking cheater everyone in the league seems to think he's a great manager and its mostly the front office to blame.

All I can say about Alex Cora is that his atonement should be to be appointed as Andy Ditch's personal asshole wiper/cleaner for the rest of his life.

Alex Cora took over a Red Sox team that won 93 games in back to back years, won the World Series his first year there with a stacked roster, and hasn't done shit since. Granted, Red Sox management/ownership is a dumpster fire and they fucked the team over with some terrible decisions (historically awful Mookie trade that people will be talking about for decades, Devers trade got nothing in return, not being able to sign big free agents), but you also can't say that Cora does anything to make them that much better.
I could see Cora being hired by the Mets because that Mendoza guy is a legit retard and I'm stunned he hasn't been fired yet.

The current era of the Phillies basically mirrors that of 2004-2012, except this edition didn't even have the courtesy of winning of the World Series before regressing one step every subsequent year. 2026 looks like 2012 redux, except I don't think they're even going to finish at .500 this time.
