Legitimately surprised there wasn't a thread on this guy already.
Minecraft, everyone's favorite cuboid sandbox game where you can build just about anything you desire. Also, for whatever reason, a magnet for losers who like to scream at their computers because they're convinced they're the next PewDiePie. Enter Brandon Ashur, aka "Bashurverse," a 30-year-old manchild with the most unbearable voice you could possibly imagine, who launched his own YouTube channel to cash in on the Minecraft craze. At first he was just another face in a sea of annoying YouTubers obsessed with the game, but in early 2015 the skeletons in his closet were revealed for all the world to see.
It all started when a prominent YouTuber named SkyDoesMinecraft, who frequently collaborated with Bashur, was attempting to launch his own media company and wanted Bashur and a few other collaborators to be a part of it. Upon running background checks on his potential employees, however, Sky stumbled across Bashur's criminal record, which revealed that Bash had been arrested for "unlawful sexual conduct with a minor" many years ago. The questions and accusations immediately started flying in, and at first Bashur denied everything, but finally he caved in and uploaded a 45-minute video essentially detailing his entire life story, crying about how he was bullied growing up and had no friends and tons of other "please-feel-bad-for-me" nonsense. Towards the end of the video he did admit that the accusations of his arrest were true, but naturally it wasn't his fault because he'd suffered so much and his life was sooooooo hard you guys. He was also careful to emphasize that he had just turned eighteen at the time, and the girl was fifteen.
Naturally, the criticisms started rolling in, about how the video seemed like less of an apology and more of a way of painting Bash as the victim and garnering sympathy for himself instead of the underage girl he preyed upon. The real kicker came when SkyDoesMinecraft again came forward to contest what Bashur had said in his video. According to Sky, Bashur had previously confessed to him, and several other YouTubers, that his victim had been thirteen and himself twenty, a vastly different story than the ages of fifteen and eighteen respectively that Bashur had provided.
SkyDoesMinecraft was a much more popular and influential YouTuber than Bash, so when he cut all ties with Bashur many other YouTubers who knew the truth did as well. Bash began lashing out at other channels like Keemstar who were exposing the story and flagging their videos to be taken down, even threatening many of his former friends with lawsuits. But when the threats didn't work, it eventually all got to be too much for ol' Bash, and he finally snapped. Uploading a video simply titled "goodbye" (which can be seen above), Bashur vowed to leave YouTube forever and tearfully screeched at all the "bullies" who had dared to call him out. The video accumulated over a thousand dislikes and was removed within the same day, but several mirrors are still available.
It was around this time that the accusations from other girls started coming out of the woodwork.

Clara aka "BabyLegs" started out as just another fan on Twitter, but eventually her relationship with Bashur became romantic and they ended up moving in together. Bashur still denies it, but Clara was underage at the time they started dating.
Clara eventually started her own gaming channel, and also joined a YT comedy sketch group called BAHMLounge. Many of Bashur's fans subscribed to her channel as well. Some suspected that she was just be a gold-digger, but Bashur would vehemently defend her against such accusations. But around the time the pedophilia accusations began, Clara abruptly ended her relationship with Bashur. She allegedly hadn't known about his past and was disgusted upon finding out. Bashur was absolutely distraught during this time, nearly suicidal, texting and messaging her every single day by his own admission. However, it wasn't long before Clara's lies were exposed as well. Apparently Clara and everyone else in BAHMLounge were fully aware of Bashur's criminal record before it was ever revealed to the public, and the BAHMLounge crew, who were interested in developing a TV show, didn't want Bashur's name and his drama attached to their project. Clara, for her part, had pretty much just been using Bash, piggybacking off his viewership to build her own brand.
It also came to light that she'd been sleeping with one of her fellow BAHMLounge members behind Bashur's back. Apparently she was also reaching out to other YouTubers, literally asking them for money in exchange for messaging Bash and fueling the drama by giving him false hope. Bash had yet another tearful public breakdown, and it looked like it was finally the end.
But somehow, in spite of all this, Bash and Clara got back together. It was revealed that Clara had been pregnant the previous year but suffered a miscarriage. The couple released a video saying that in light of this they'd decided to work out their problems, and for whatever reason they've been together ever since. Oh, and their very first video after getting back together involves him literally tasing her. Only time will tell how this relationship ends up.
