I'm a real newfag to BAT and crypto in general, so apologies if this is dumb, but I tried manually sending some BAT to KF back when the ddosing was going down, using the send tip function to do it, but my balance hasn't gone down at all. Am I dumb and this is actually normal or is something up?
 
Just saw that my BAT is worth about 1/2 of what it was a few months ago, any particular reason or just general crypto fuckery?

Possibly down to the Slavic rage reducing the markets, I know the Asian stocks have taken a hit since Putin's rant happened.
 
I opened an uphold account to receive my bats and just got an email saying it's temporarily suspended while they carry out checks or whatever. Anyone else get one? Wondering if it's related to the Canadian trucker shit at all and uphold are now trying to figure out if I'm a Canadian.

Trudeau got the brilliant idea of showing off how the government can just freeze and nuke all your bank accounts and crypto assets in exchanges with the push of a button.

Add to that two more issues: Putin going balistic and the FBI forming a new division with the authority to "confiscate" crypto assets suspected of being used for criminal activities.

It's not just BAT, the whole market is free falling due to all the normies pulling their assets from binance, coinbase, uphold and other custodial services faster than you can say crash.

Bitcoin is sitting at 34,000 usd right now, which is really close to the free fall of january when a new bill was proposed to do exactly what the FBI ended up doing anyways.

Honestly don't think Canada has much to do with it. They could only really "freeze" crypto stuck on an exchange, anything in a private wallet would be untouchable. I'd more expect to see an upswing as people rush to get out of the Canadian banking system.

I'd say it's way more due to the Ukraine turmoil, partly from the normal market panic and partly due to how much crypto is held/mined by people in Ukraine, Russia, and surrounds. Remember that Ukraine and Russia have the highest (by %) population of crypto hodlers in the world, I'm sure loads of em would be liquidating and using the money to gtfo while they can.

@Null when you receive BAT donations from Brave users, does whatever service where you get them apply a flat fee to them? I'm asking to know if it's better to donate a bit every month or accumulate a bigger amount before donating.
 
Every month I eagerly await my BAT payout so I can contribute to keeping the Kiwi lights on, I had a decent month in March and earned about 9 BAT. To my dismay, my payout was .25 BAT.

Did anyone get a proper BAT payout this month? There is no word from Brave about a correction. I hope this isn't so widespread that it affects the site's finances in a big way. I have no BAT wallet because I donate every month and only carryover an amount less than 5 BAT.

I got the full amount on mobile but this happened to me on desktop.
I assume it's just a visual bug since
A; I've noticed that for the past few months the payout they say is coming in a few days always less than the estimated earnings for the month but when it comes its still the same.
B; some payouts have taken a lot longer than the 7 days they usually give, last month my mobile payout didn't come till the 16th or 17th and I checked when I saw the .25 bat and the payment still hadn't arrived.
